Scandal Star Kerry Washington Has A New Instagram Yoga Series Called ‘Namaste At Home’

Published on August 10, 2020

Take a couple of deep breaths in and out and relax yourself and your mind. Feel like you can’t do that and need a distresser or something to calm your mind and body? Well, Kerry Washington has got you covered on that with her garden yoga series on her Instagram called Namaste At Home.

Now, if that doesn’t get you relaxed already, then its time for you to dive in because you seem pretty tense. If you need something to calm yourself throughout your day or need a mental break or just a break from work or whatever you’re doing, these mini garden yoga sessions that Kerry is doing maybe an excellent little outlet to try out.

Along with her garden yoga sessions, Washington also invites people to speak on whichever topics she is talking about during her Instagram Live sessions. She recently brought on her fellow Scandal costar Tony Goldwyn and during the garden yoga Instagram Live, they discussed the Black Voters Matter movement and how to donate to the cause.

Doing yoga and learning a thing or two about essential topics in the world, I think it’s a good pairing. I tried one of these yoga sessions out for myself because I was a little skeptical of having yoga and important talking sessions in one go, but it’s not bad.

I watched the recent one mentioned before with Tony Goldwyn, and it was refreshing and a learning lesson as well. During this session, instead, I thought that she was going to be doing yoga and discussing whatever topics she had at hand, but it’s divided into parts.

First, Kerry and Tony did the yoga session together. Then, once the session finished, they went on to discuss whatever topic was at hand. It’s organized, refreshing, and you’re getting a good conversation out of it as well.

You’re getting a good yoga workout while getting in a few words of truth—not only from her but from others that she brings on as well. I think it’s unique that she created something like this because we hear from our friends, news, and peers about what’s going on in the world but rarely hear what celebrities say, like physically seeing them speak on specific topics.

It’s refreshing to see celebrities like Kerry Washington using their platform to speak on specific topics and create a safe space that people can go to escape their hectic life schedule. I can’t wait to dive into some good garden yoga with Kerry on her next live and listen to whatever discussion. Maybe this is a wellness break that we all need but didn’t know.
