Here Are Some Protein Packed Workout Smoothies You Have To Try

There is nothing like finishing out a good workout that has left you breathless, sweaty and feeling good all at the same time. After those hard-core workouts, you may be left feeling hungry and ready for a pick-me-up. Feeling like you need to recharge after a workout means your body is telling you that it needs to refuel with one of these protein packed workout smoothies.

Making sure that you are eating or drinking the right things after exercising is essential. Continue to make sure you are keeping your body healthy by putting the right things in your body after that workout.

Post-workout eating and drinking can be hard to figure out. I usually refuel after a workout with a smoothie. Yes, there are many smoothies that you can make, but here are some smoothies that you should try out after your workout that will help you out in the long run and help you live a healthier lifestyle overall.

Pre-Workout Smoothies

Berry Smoothie

Ingredients:

1.5 cups water

1 banana

1 cup frozen berries (used 1/2 cup blueberries and 1/2 cup raspberries)

1 tbsp flaxseed

Instructions:

Pour all your ingredients into a blender then blend and once blended thoroughly pour into a class and enjoy!

Jumpstart Chocolate Workout Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 ¼ cups almond milk

12 ice cubes

1 banana, broken into chunks

½ cup strong brewed coffee, chilled

1/3 cup chocolate-flavored whey protein powder

1 tbsp honey

1 tbsp unsalted natural peanut butter, or more to taste

Vanilla Almond Smoothie

Ingredients:

1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

1/2 cup water

1/2 banana

Dash of cinnamon

Ice

1 to 2 drops of liquid Stevia, optional

Strawberry Banana Protein Blast

Ingredients:

1 medium banana, frozen

1 cup milk of choice

½ cup chopped strawberries

¼ cup low-fat Greek yogurt

1 tbsp peanut butter

Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Banana Shake

Ingredients:

12 oz water, milk, or yogurt

2 scoops chocolate-flavored protein powder

1 banana

1 cup of spinach

2 tbsp of natural peanut butter

1 tbsp dark cocoa powder

Banana Spinach Protein Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon almond butter

2/3 cup Greek yogurt

1/2 banana
