S’More, the app that’s “all about getting to know a person before we judge them based on a headshot,” interviewed Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger on its live show S’More Live on Instagram recently to discuss everything from what she does to stay entertained during the pandemic to what she does to stay healthy.
Patti Stanger rose to fame as the producer for the reality television show Millionaire Matchmaker that airs on Bravo. The show is centered around providing a matchmaking service for millionaires, and follows both Stanger and her matchmaking business through the ups and the downs associated with the industry. Stanger is a third generation matchmaker, and comes from a long line of matchmakers in her family that worked in this business in their own professional lives, so it just makes sense that Stanger would take the family business to new heights in the age of reality television.
Stranger revealed that she stays healthy by counting carbs and sugar through her phone and exercises regularly on her Peloton. During a game of two truths and lie, Stanger revealed some surprising and not so surprising facts about herself. Stanger also told dating horror stories of her own, including one that she went on to a swing club in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with a man that her mother set her up with.
Stanger graduated from the University of Miami as a film student during a heyday period of Miami nightlife. After that, she worked in the garment business before following along the lines of her mother and grandmother as a professional matchmaker. Stanger revealed, though, that she is the first woman in her family to actually charge for her matchmaking services.
Throughout the interview, Stanger revealed the path that she went down to bring together her matchmaking service and her reality TV show. As far as the show goes, she admits, the stars aligned to connect her with Bravo after years of hard work and networking.
Stanger’s interview on the S’More Live show was both entertaining and informative—particularly for anyone with entrepreneurship skills looking for insight from someone that managed to make an empire out of her passions. You can check the show out on Instagram here, and download the S’More app here.
