Autheo Opens THEO to MEXC’s 40 Million Users as It Shifts Focus From Access to Utility

Autheo, the Sheridan, Wyoming-based company building what it calls an Internet Operating System, opened trading for its native utility coin THEO on MEXC on October 1, 2026. The THEO/USDT pair went live at 13:00 UTC, giving the coin its first centralized exchange market on a platform that serves more than 40 million users across more than 170 countries and regions.

The listing completes a rollout Autheo announced on September 24. THEO now trades in four places: the MEXC order book, Hydrex on Base, and two Uniswap pools on Robinhood Chain. Enflux, a quantitative trading and liquidity firm, supports THEO liquidity across all three venues.

For founder and managing director Todd Mortenson, the listing is a starting point rather than a finish line.

“Last week we announced MEXC. Today it is open,” Mortenson said. “But access is only the beginning. We are widening access to THEO as the infrastructure that gives it utility comes online. A listing lets more people reach the economic layer of Autheo. What we ship next is what gives them a reason to use it.”

That framing, distribution now and utility next, sums up where the company says it is heading.

Five Years in the Making

Autheo was founded by Scott Bayless and Todd Mortenson and has been in development for about five years. The project brings together more than 100 co-founders and contributors across more than 25 countries.

Its goal is ambitious. Autheo describes its Internet Operating System as a decentralized layer for coordinating and executing blockchain, AI, compute, storage, networking, identity, security, and economic infrastructure within one unified architecture.

Autheo Mainnet has been live since May 14, 2026, and was secured by 151 active validator nodes as of September 30. Today, THEO is used to pay network transaction fees and for validator staking. The company plans to extend that utility into compute, storage, networking, and AI execution through three components it expects to release progressively over the coming months: Autheo DevHub, the Autheo Mesh, and the Autheo Infrastructure Marketplace.

A Seven-Day Airdrop Event

To mark the listing, MEXC is running a THEO Airdrop+ event from September 30 at 13:00 UTC through October 7 at 13:00 UTC, with 60,000 USDT in total rewards. The pool breaks down into 39,000 USDT in new-user deposit and trading rewards, 10,000 USDT in futures bonuses for qualifying new users, 6,000 USDT in referral rewards, and 5,000 USDT for a THEO spot trading challenge. Participants must register on MEXC’s event page, and MEXC’s terms govern eligibility, thresholds, and distribution.

Separately, THEO holders can stake from a wallet through Autheo’s staking pool on Robinhood Chain, powered by Team Finance. The pool is scheduled to close on October 10, 2026, and reward and unstaking terms are set by the pool contract. Autheo notes that the pool is not a service of MEXC or of Robinhood’s brokerage app.

A Note on Verification

With THEO now trading across several venues, Autheo is urging holders to confirm that an exchange’s deposit network matches the network where their THEO is held before transferring. The company says it does not recognize any THEO token, pool, or listing on another contract or chain unless it has been announced through Autheo’s official channels, which are listed on its token launch page.

What Comes Next

Exchange listings tend to generate attention, but Autheo’s own messaging puts the weight on what follows. With the mainnet running and the exchange rollout complete, the company’s next test is whether DevHub, the Mesh, and the Infrastructure Marketplace ship on schedule and give users a practical reason to use THEO.

As with any digital asset, THEO’s price can be volatile, and the availability of MEXC services varies by jurisdiction. Nothing in Autheo’s announcement constitutes investment advice.
