How Lived Experiences Shape Artur Katny’s Coaching Philosophy

Published on January 5, 2026

In a world where quick fixes and superficial solutions dominate the self-help realm, authentic transformation remains difficult to find for many seeking to overcome their past and build meaningful lives. Using a direct, no-nonsense approach, Arthur Katny, self-help coach at HighwaytoHappiness.me, helps clients escape cycles of addiction, mend broken relationships and face long-hidden traumas. As a skilled life coach, Katny feels it is his purpose to help others achieve their goals and live authentically. His philosophy is simple but impactful: real change requires both guidance and personal commitment.

“Nothing worthwhile happens without doing the work. I can guide you on what to do, but ultimately, it’s up to you to take action,” says Katny.

The Personal Journey Behind His Method

Before becoming a self-help coach, Katny’s life experiences set the foundation for the direct, grounded approach that he brings to his work. A first-generation immigrant who speaks both English and Polish, he grew up navigating uncertainty from an early age. Due to the political conditions in Poland during his childhood, his family planned a careful departure. They traveled abroad to create the impression that they planned to return rather than leave permanently.

While Katny and his mother waited in Greece, his father spent two years securing the documents required to enter the United States. Just before his seventh birthday, Katny arrived in the U.S., learning early on what it meant to start over, adapt, and persevere.

As an adult, Katny operated the family business founded by his parents in 1996. Those years taught him responsibility, resilience, and the importance of facing challenges head-on, values that would later shape his coaching philosophy. When he started his coaching business, he drew on his prior life experiences and the challenges he had overcome himself, including a stutter that kept him closed off and isolated from anything resembling happiness. The perspective he gained from learning how to confront his disorder proved to be the seed that grew into his ability to help clients break down their limiting patterns and move toward authenticity.

Guiding Others Toward Healing and Sustainable Change

Katny founded HighwaytoHappiness.me to coach others struggling to overcome their past and build better lives. Part of his process is helping his clients “reshape their perspective on themselves, their past, their traumas and their identities.”

“People are pattern-based beings; we tend to repeat what we observe. This often causes problems, especially when such patterns originate in early experiences,” says Katny.

Recently, he helped a client who struggled to understand why she had been mistreated as a child. She was desperate for an answer, as her experience had followed her through life. Katny offered a different perspective, helping her gain clarity as she viewed the situation through a new lens.

“It was remarkable that everything changed in a single conversation; she had a sudden realization… She seemed to understand her feelings clearly and no longer feared addressing her family about how she was treated,” Katny says.

Katny works with clients who are dealing with challenges such as addiction, helping them to move from a mindset that keeps them stuck in the same cycles.

His practice also includes individuals seeking to rebuild trust and stability in their relationships, particularly when difficult truths or past decisions have strained them.

Impact That Earns Recognition

As clients connect with his process and gain a clearer understanding of their patterns, they often experience steady improvements in their circumstances. While the work is often uncomfortable, Katny highlights that acknowledging long-standing concerns is a critical step toward growth. With a willingness to engage openly, clients gradually regain confidence and make real changes in their lives.

“I’m all about authentic conversations. I cannot stand fakeness…I’m looking for people who… want to go back to living real, honest and authentic lives,” says Katny.

For his expertise as a self-help coach, Katny was honored with inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who in November 2025.
