“Multigenerational travel is a booming sector, with up to 57 percent of parents planning trips with grandparents and children.” India Wonderland, a bespoke tour operator, spotlights six escorted tours to help grandparents, parents, and children experience the “wonderland” of India.

“Travel is one of the most meaningful ways for families to connect across generations. Our escorted tours are thoughtfully designed so grandparents, parents, and children can discover India’s history, culture, nature, and traditions together while enjoying a comfortable, well-planned journey filled with unforgettable shared experiences,” says Sanjay Poddar, head of operations at India Wonderland.

The ten-day and nine-night Classic Rajasthan Tour ventures from Delhi, Jaipur, Pushkar, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Mount Abu, and Udaipur and returns to Delhi. Grandparents, parents, and children will marvel at the City Palace complex, Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Mount Abu, Dilwara Temples, and Sajjangarh (Monsoon Palace).

Families will experience a dazzling light and sound show at the Red Fort, a rickshaw ride, a sensational sunset at Sam or Khur Sand Dunes, and an authentic Rajasthani folk dance and music show and dinner.

The six days and five nights of the Discover Goa Tour explores the hidden gems, traveling from South Goa to North Goa. Magical moments include Cabo de Rama Fort, Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary, Shri Mallikarjuna Swami Temple, 17th-century-built Church of the Holy Spirit, 400-year-old Rachol Seminary, Shanta-Durga and Shri Mangeshi Temples, and Fort Aguada.

Multigenerational families will be captivated by the eight-day, seven-night Golden Triangle with Udaipur, traveling from Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Pushkar, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Mount Abu, and Udaipur and returning to Delhi. The awe-inspiring experience includes Jodhpur (The Blue City), Jaisalmer (The Golden City), Jaisalmer Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, Udaipur (a city of lakes), and opulent palaces. Marvel at the natural beauty and majestic views at Mount Abu, as well as experience an authentic Rajasthani folk dance and mouthwatering dinner.

Families will venture off the beaten path during a ten-day and nine-night Kerala Ooty Tour, traveling from Bangalore, Mysore, Ooty, Kodaikanal, Munnar, Alleppey, Kumarakom, and Cochin. Majestic moments include Mysore Palace, the Dasara Festival, Brindavan Gardens, Jayalakshmi Vilas Mansion, the Folklore Museum, Jaganmohan Palace, Lalit Mahal Palace, Chamundeshwari Temple, the Government Botanical Garden (300 varieties of roses), Palani Temples, and the Pillar Rocks (three massive pillars).

Beach lovers will discover coconut and palm-tree beaches during the four-day and three-night Magical Goa Tour, showcasing the Portuguese influences in North and South Goa. Majestic moments include Fort Aguada and Chapora Fort. Visitors will also indulge in a shopping spree at Panjim Market.

The seven-day, six-night South India Cultural Tour offers another opportunity for families to venture off the beaten path, traveling from Madurai, Periyar, and Kumarakom to Kochi (Kerala). Tour highlights include the Shore Temple and Kanchipuram, known as the ‘City of Thousand Temples,’ and the ancient Shiva Temple of Kapaleeshwar and Meenakshi Amman Temple (known for its 14 colorful gopurams), the Government Museum and National Art Gallery, and the Valluvar Kottam monument.

“Every family travels differently, which is why we focus on creating flexible, seamless experiences that bring people closer together. Whether exploring Rajasthan’s majestic forts, relaxing on Goa’s beaches, or discovering South India’s cultural treasures, our goal is to help families return home with memories they will cherish for a lifetime,” said Poddar.
