The Hung Yen Women Entrepreneurs Association has a new name after provincial officials approved its change from the Thai Binh Women Entrepreneurs Association. The decision, presented at a conference, gives the organization a provincial identity tied to Hung Yen and sets a public focus on bringing local women entrepreneurs together.
Chairwoman Hoang Thi Phuong described the decision as a source of joy, pride and encouragement for members. The Association’s President, Hoang Thi Phuong, said the change followed a period of anticipation. She called the October occasion especially meaningful for the association.
Hung Yen Women Entrepreneurs Association Sets Priorities
Vice Chairman of the Hung Yen Provincial People’s Committee Pham Van Nghiem presented the renaming decision and delivered guidance on the association’s next work. Provincial leaders asked it to consolidate its organization, strengthen unity and expand membership.

They also called for stronger member support through training in management, business law, finance, e-commerce, digital transformation and brand building. The guidance included trade promotion, connections between supply and demand, product introductions and efforts to expand markets. It also urged members to take part more deeply in supply chains.
The province asked the association to promote innovation and sustainable development, including the use of science and technology. The stated goals include improving production processes, productivity and product quality, while building brands around reputation, social responsibility and local value.
Provincial officials said they would create favorable conditions for businesses and urged departments and localities to speed administrative reforms and resolve obstacles. The source described these measures as support for sustainable development across the business community, including women-owned businesses.
A Nearly 20-Year Association Reports 450 Members
Vice President Nguyen Thi Thuy said the association has grown over nearly 20 years, first as the Thai Binh Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association and now under its Hung Yen name. The report linked its development to a role connecting and supporting women entrepreneurs across the province.
After its 4th Congress for the 2024-2029 term, the association continued strengthening its structure, streamlining leadership and expanding membership. It reported approximately 450 official members working in production, trade, services and technology business.
The report also listed activities from 2024 – 2026. Training and workshops on taxation, business administration, AI and digital transformation drew 420 participants. The association said it donated 5,000 Tet gift packages for the Year of the Horse 2026 to disadvantaged households.
Its reported relief for flood victims in Thai Nguyen province totaled 470,000,000 VND. Donations to the Gratitude and Remembrance Fund for 2026 amounted to 1,119,500,000 VND. The report listed student awards of 36,500,000 VND for the 2024-2025 school year and 37,100,000 VND for 2025-2026.
For related coverage, Grit Daily has reported on a women’s business training program, a fellowship supporting women entrepreneurs and an initiative on business purpose and capital strategy. These are separate stories and do not describe the Hung Yen association.
The association’s stated next step is to continue building what Phuong called a common home for women entrepreneurs to meet, cooperate and support one another. Its announced motto for the coming period is “Unity – Gathering – Collaboration – Development.”
