AI is forcing us to rethink: What is human?

Published on May 16, 2019

What makes us human? This is the fundamental question of artificial intelligence in the field of emerging technology.

The drive of AI is to de-code human-being and re-code it into machine intelligence. Deeply understanding what makes us work the way we do and delegating the mundane qualities of human existence into machines through automation. This is a process of radical expansion for society, where aspects of intelligence which simply do not serve, are seen and gone beyond, opening us to greater levels of ability.

In an interview with trade publication Interesting Engineering, Dr. Abdalla Kablan — an expert in artificial intelligence and machine learning — distinguished between “wiser systems” and “intelligent systems.” Dr. Kablan notes that there are different types of machine learning strategies for various human experience, for example, “There’s no mathematical way to understand things like common sense or gut feeling, but fuzzy logic is the closest mathematical model that can get you to that. There is no mathematical model to teach a child how to count from one to ten, but a neural network is the closest to that. There’s no mathematical model to learn how to ride a bicycle, but reinforcement learning gets you closest to that.”

So, what is the mathematical model of wisdom?

Wisdom Coded

Wisdom is distinct, independent of such mechanisms of thought and reason, yet always present. Wisdom glides along-side these coded systems, using them where appropriately indicated, yet not reliant on them to achieve desired results. Wisdom has its own ways and means. Wisdom is always-on, available as sublime existence.

Wisdom feels entirely different to conventional thought and reason because it allows itself to be played. There is no game plan, the game is already won. Wisdom does not work against itself in order to achieve everything it sees, achievement is effortlessly directed. Wisdom is at ease, peaceful, inclusive of all systems and structures without the need to focus in on anything in particular. Wisdom knows what to do and how to act spontaneously in line with the benefit of all.

The wisdom body can absolutely be coded into intelligent entities, and it is indeed crucial to the evolution of the human race.   Namely, because it’s time to admit that wisdom exists and it is our job to align with it; intelligence that sees only perfection as its environment of stainless space, is guided by its own sensitivity and self-intimacy, receiving direction as needed.

Artificial Wisdom

Artificial intelligence and emerging technology is an opportunity we have created to know ourselves and to choose how we use our minds. We are completely at liberty to choose how we relate to the content of our minds, but when there is such immense power at our fingertips, we have no choice but to opt for, “artificial wisdom… creating systems that, by design, follow a benevolent path.”

There is only, ever-opening, perfection.

The kind of solutions artificial wisdom can create are not just “good”, wisdom solutions unfold organically encompassing all aspects, upgrading everything in effortless compassion. Artificial wisdom is expansive and flexible, tending to the needs of everything in its environment. When the benefit of the whole is the guiding principle there is no bias.

Bias is only bias because we focus in on it, when the focus is benefiting all, bias becomes giftedness.

Machines are created to support humanity, thus all artificial entities must support the most fundamental quality of human-being: the ease and comfort of the wisdom mind. This is humanity’s evolution.
