Quibi, the new streaming platform meant specifically for users to watch on their phones, has had a slow start since its launch earlier this year. The company launched with a ton of original content, from short series contracts with celebrity figures like Chrissy Teigen to feature-length films that were split into short installments. The company announced everything coming to Quibi in July.
The issue, though, is that the platform has been slow to take off among consumers. The company’s model to go after a consumer market that might want to watch shorter shows or digest movies as a serialized experience. But with the explosive popularity of TikTok over the last few months and the arrival of other streaming platforms like HBO Max, Quibi is finding itself less successful than originally expected.
The streaming platform comes with two tiers of subscriptions based on what users want to pay. Users have the option of paying $6.99 per month for the subscription with ads or $9.99 per month without ads. Here is everything coming to Quibi in July, including several new shows and installments.
