The oil and gas industry is often unpredictable, a reality Kevin K. Thibeau understands well. As the current president of Wheeler Resource Recovery LLC, Thibeau collaborates with Wheeler Operating Corporation to raise funds for oil and natural gas exploration, further contributing to advancements in the industry. As he continues contributing to the competitive field, his work since 2014 spotlights what a crucial role he’s held.

Over the last decade, Thibeau has successfully held his position as president of Wheeler Resource Recovery LLC. Stationed in Benbrook, Texas, the company spearheads the oil and natural gas industry. In 1983, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in politics with a minor in business administration at Assumption University in Worcester, Massachusetts. Early in his career, he initially intended to pursue a career in public administration, but ultimately ventured into sales instead. This departure would soon spark his interest in the oil industry, further transforming his initial endeavors in financial advisory to a desire to specialize in oil and gas drilling. As oil prices steadily rose, Thibeau worked to better his understanding of the research behind the business. He became fully engaged, continuing to finetune his knowledge and abilities over time.

Thibeau’s expertise encompasses several key areas. He possesses a deep understanding of secondary oil recovery while providing individual investors with potential alternative investment opportunities in the oil and gas industry. He additionally guarantees that investors will have a satisfactory return on capital within each of his partnerships. Before his work at Wheeler Resource Recovery, he held a directorial position in investor relations at a West Virginia-bound oil and gas company. At Wheeler, Thibeau supervises the project operations and sales team. He also coordinates with marketing companies, boosting the business. Alongside equipment ordering and purchasing, he organizes service crews within the industry. He also manages key administrative functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and billing.

As of 2025, with 16 years of professional experience, Thibeau prefers to surround himself with like-minded, hardworking individuals who share his beliefs, principles and values. He firmly believes that keeping things in perspective while maintaining positive teamwork can make or break a desired accomplishment. Given the volatility of the oil and gas industry, Thibeau is keenly aware of the challenges inherent in the industry. Consequently, he keeps productive communication in mind as he actively listens to the inquiries of his team members. He also ensures responsiveness toward investors to maintain his success.

Throughout Thibeau’s career, he has worked to overcome the many obstacles the oil and gas drilling field has faced. As he lends his industry expertise to several written works, he also received various accolades for his responsibilities at Wheeler Resource Recovery. In 2022, he earned the Best of Benbrook Award while also being named among the Top Natural Resource Companies and Startups. Furthermore, the oil enterprise made the list of the 21 Most Innovative Fort Worth-based Renewable Companies and Startups.

Thibeau continues his civic contribution to the Burleson Independent School District, where he volunteers for the academy’s football program. He also volunteers at his local chamber of commerce, Rotary International, and a local charity in Fort Worth that feeds underserved communities. His written pieces include co-authoring “Funding Activity: Unique Model Broadens Capital Base for Oil Field Development” and an article featured in The American Gas & Oil Reporter in 2021.

Looking ahead, Thibeau envisions a promising future for Wheeler Resource Recovery LLC, driven by innovative technologies and strong operational teams. He sees the company blossoming into a very fruitful business with powerful sales and operations teams. In the future, he plans to leverage inventive technology to produce at least 17 million barrels of oil over the next decade. Alongside these ventures, Thibeau hopes to expand into various fields while seeking potential investors outside his current industry.
