Andre Blackwell, certified financial therapist (CFT) and founder of DreamAgain Inc., is an architect. Not in the sense of having built brick and mortar structures, but as a contractor of ideas, stories, and, perhaps most importantly, financial pathways for undervalued communities. His story began in a Section 8 neighborhood, where he was raised by a single mother. His upbringing, marked by poverty, paradoxically helped him build the foundation for his future.
As a CFT, Blackwell began to examine money as a tool, understanding his relationship with money based on the environmental upbringing from a relational, cognitive, emotional, and behavioral standpoint.
Once Blackwell saw the contrasting lifestyle his uncle led, an accountant who owned property and regularly exposed him to New York City’s culture, he came to understand that a completely different and elevated standard of living was possible. It quickly inspired him to pursue a career in finance and entrepreneurship.
The Blueprint of a Dream
Deeply committed to education, Blackwell holds a bachelor’s degree in business and finance from Wilmington University and has studied wealth strategies from leaders across all industries. His solid academic foundation helped fuel a 13-year career that included roles as a trade analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and a senior cost engineer at major energy firms. While in the midst of education and employment, he founded DreamAgain in 2013.
For Blackwell, DreamAgain Global Elite Group is more than just a financial firm. It is the physical manifestation of his personal belief that “education opens an unlimited supply of income streams if applied correctly.” His initial motivation, shaped by growing up in poverty, evolved as he gained experience in accounting and finance. He soon realized that he could use the blueprint of financial literacy to share it with underrepresented communities, helping others find a path to their dreams. The group began domestically with the fight against inflation and the lack of opportunities for minority groups; then, after studying currency exchanges and the manipulation of third-world resources, the firm shifted to an international focus.
Blackwell was inspired to teach financial literacy to those who lack the information, using various partnerships and resources. For one, through his DreamAgain 529 plan, he helps individuals save for educational costs by offering a $29 gift to those who sign up. The plan invests in some of the state’s best mutual funds, offering a 300% growth rate and a 100% tax write-off for newborns through age 18. Funds are applicable for grades K-12 and college.
Finance, Fandom, and Freedom
Blackwell’s unique approach to education and personal empowerment goes well beyond traditional financial advising. A lifelong fan of anime, particularly fighting series like “Dragon Ball,” manga, and action figures, he has successfully merged his financial expertise and his creative passions.
DreamAgain Studios relocated to Québec, the growing startup ecosystem for AI and fintech, where Montréal offers video game development incentives up to 30% lower than in any other province, plus an 11.5% government tax incentive. This led him to develop his own 100% family-owned intellectual property firm, with the DreamAgain Manga Series “The Chosen One,” “6 Boroughs Contest of Dreamers,” and more.
Blackwell’s current focus lies in independently developing comics, games, and toys with the latest DreamAgain mini release. Through it all, he has maintained an interest in the intersection of constructing important financial projects and storytelling.
In summer 2026, Blackwell is launching the MLK STEM program to help individuals get a clear understanding of financial literacy and licensing preparation. This includes outsourcing self-alignment work for participants to Canadian native Lenny Siemeni, an NLP life coach. The STEM program is inspired by the great Martin Luther King Jr.’s declaration that all creeds and colors have a narrative to tell about being misrepresented on a global scale, and that they should unify as one consciousness to bring about change.
Family, Community, and Vision
Outside of his professional and creative life, Blackwell focuses on family and community. His wife, Renee Blackwell, an educator and mental health practitioner specializing in social consciousness, spoke at the United Nations Global Peace Cluster in Nigeria. She founded her own education firm, Blackwell Industries, and cofounded Blackwell Academy, a school that’s grounded in free thought and education. The school has two components: Mrs. Blackwell oversees historical and mental education, and Blackwell oversees intellectual property and business education.
Mrs. Blackwell currently partners with Yalda Alamyar, owner of Noor Danish Online Academy, to help provide education to Islamic young women and kids in Afghanistan, whose learning is otherwise restricted due to the country’s laws. Mrs. Blackwell works closely with women inspired by Québec’s former Liberal leader René Lévesque, who led the Quiet Revolution for women after they began gaining rights in the province in the 1940s. The lack of opportunities and resources has led the young couple to develop solutions that help and inspire individuals across the globe.
Blackwell is fully committed to education, art, and community. His passions are reflected in his hobbies, which include visiting museums and aquariums, listening to jazz, and spending time with his children. For him, family is everything, and through his company, his educational efforts, his DreamAgain 529 plan, and his creative works, he continues to help build dreams for a future where everyone can pursue their personal ambitions.
