ViB Collaborated with FITTEAM to Present $10,000 to The Bucket Ministry to Provide Clean Water to Underserved Communities in Africa
FITTEAM, ViB, and The Bucket Ministry came together to take part in a virtual LinkedIn live event. The online summit brought together some impressive organizations and influencers who are making a positive impact and changing lives in meaningful ways. Linkedin influencer Joy McAdams and Cindy Metzler co-hosted the event, presented by The Sisterhood for Success.
FITTEAM, a healthy lifestyle community, collected a portion of their company proceeds in January and February and presented a $10K donation to The Bucket Ministry that will help provide 50 filters and clean water to 500 families in Africa. ViB, a tech lead generation company, will also be donating a portion of all proceeds during the spring season.
Participants and special guests included author, influencer, and CEO Heather Monahan; YAP Media Founder and CEO Hala Taha; FITTEAM CEO Chris Hummel; ViB CEO Sean Shea; VP of Marketing at ViB, Mariah West; CEO of the Bucket Ministry, Chris Beth. The event focused on generating awareness for this worthy cause and using LinkedIn relationships to connect in real life and impact lives.
Heather Monahan and Hala Taha shared their background story of how they connected and how LinkedIn relationships can continue to flourish in real life. In addition to discussing topics surrounding meaningful connections and the power of LinkedIn, there was a standout moment when Chris Hummel made the $10K donation to The Bucket Ministry. The Bucket Ministry shared an extremely powerful video that showcased the slums in Kibera, where many families are in need of clean water. The non-profit is providing clean water to Africa and transforming children’s lives in third-world countries. Currently, 800 children die per day in third-world countries due to polluted water
Sean Shea, ViB CEO and Board member of The Bucket Ministry, shared his personal journey and highlights of his recent mission trip to Kibera, Africa. It was Sean’s third mission with the organization. Shea was very grateful to be able to lend a helping hand to those who are in need in Africa and acknowledges that it is all thanks to the beautiful work that The Bucket Ministry continues to do. Next in the virtual lineup, Mariah West, VP of Marketing at ViB who shared more information about the corporate culture at ViB and how – and why – philanthropy is so important to their team.
Lastly, Chris Beth closed the show out in such an impactful way by first announcing that due to ViB’s contributions, there are over 100,000 people that have received their first taste of clean water. Beth went on to physically show the audience just how the Sawyer PointONE hollow fiber membrane filter works by attaching the filter to a water bottle filled with lake water. He then squeezed the dirty bottle of water that had the filter attached into a cup where you can see the water has been completely purified thanks to their innovative filter that is changing lives throughout the world.
