The Problem with One-Size-Fits-All Performance

Engineering a Millimeter-Level Breakthrough
The new Vector’s geometry was completely reengineered. The redesign includes a new nose bridge and an 8.7-degree rotation of the gaskets. The structural adjustment shifts the lower seal to the nose bridge, allowing the goggle to apply pressure only at the top of the gasket, where leaks typically form. The changes resulted in a 15% reduction in pressure on the face compared to the previous generation.
By shifting responsibility for the lower seal to the nose bridge, Vector applies pressure only where leaks actually occur—at the top of the gasket—rather than across the entire face. Because every Vector gasket is precision-cut from individual facial data, this targeted pressure approach delivers a stronger seal with less overall pressure.
It’s a surgical design move (just a millimeter here, a few degrees there), but the implications are massive.
“Our custom fitting technology has always delivered precision,” according to Founder and CEO, Rasmus Barfred. “By reshaping the frame geometry (especially around the nose), we’ve achieved a perfect fit but with less pressure and more security from leaks. THEMAGIC5 was founded in 2017 after its founders grew frustrated with one-size-fits-all goggles. The company gained national attention after appearing on ABC’s “Shark Tank,” where it secured a $1 million investment from Mark Cuban and Robert Herjavec.
