Multi-talented artist, actor, athlete, and philanthropist Zavieh Harrell is a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry, and his latest single, “Timeless,” marks an important step in his artistic journey. Harrell’s music speaks to the core of human experience through themes of nostalgia, personal growth, and the ever-evolving nature of life. In an industry undergoing a significant transformation, Harrell stands firm in his authenticity, and “Timeless” offers a glimpse into that unwavering commitment.

“Timeless” captures a delicate balance between the old and the new, blending reflective lyricism with mellow, soulful beats. Harrell brings listeners along on a journey through the highs and lows of his past while remaining grounded in the present, resulting in a song that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable.

Crafting “Timeless,” a Journey Through Memory

When asked about the inspiration behind “Timeless,” Harrell reflects on a simple yet profound moment during a walk through Los Angeles.

“It might’ve been the hottest day in LA I’ve ever experienced,” Harell said. The stifling heat brought back vivid memories of his childhood in Las Vegas, where he and his friends would complain about walking home from school, vowing that one day they would never have to walk again.

“My shirt was sticking to my skin, I’m counting the minutes until my next destination, checking my backpack for water I didn’t have. All I could do was laugh,” Harrell said. “From there, I went into a spiral of old memories, thinking about how things have changed and how some details are just a part of who you are. ‘Timeless’ reflects on those moments that I’ll always cherish, as well as the ones I had to let go. A compare and contrast to become the person I’ve always dreamed of being.”

A Self-Reintroduction

“Timeless” is more than just a song; it’s a return to Harrell as both an artist and an individual. His previous works, he admits, were an attempt to meet certain industry standards or expectations. But now, he sees things differently.

“Since then, I’ve realized my authentic self is the standard,” Harrell said. “Music is for the soul, and this track is a representation of being my authentic self — both for the people in the world that need the courage to be themselves, and as a constant reminder to myself.”

In an industry that often prizes conformity, Harrell’s decision to embrace his true self is both courageous and refreshing. His journey is one of self-discovery, and “Timeless” reflects the confidence and clarity he’s gained over the years.

Crafting a Soundtrack for the Soul

The production of “Timeless” pairs smooth, mellow instrumentation with Harrell’s reflective lyrics, creating an immersive and relatable experience for global listeners. Harrell credits his producer, Pedro Mota, for transforming his simple idea into “magic.” The two worked together to create a track that allows emotions to carry much of the song’s weight.

“I’ve been playing with different ways to say a lot in fewer words and to allow emotions to carry the weight for each individual listening,” Harrell said. By leaving space for the listener’s interpretation, Harrell encourages each person to connect with the music in their own way.

Harrell’s creative journey also spans multiple fields—acting, athletics, music, and philanthropy. His diversity colors his music, bringing richness and depth to his work.

“Each experience is a different shade of emotion that either helped my life move forward or gave me understanding of my current state. I’m always evolving, and as a musician, I’ve learned to embrace each shade,” Harrell said.

Harrell’s music has drawn comparisons to iconic artists like Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, and Nas — musicians known for their thoughtful lyricism and cultural impact. While he acknowledges the influence these figures have had on his music, he remains determined to carve out his own path.

“These artists have such a unique way of taking you into their mind and flipping the mirror directly on yourself with their own experiences. I think the only way to stay true to myself in a game they mastered is to tell my own story, and do it my way,” Harrell said.

The Role of Music in an Evolving Industry

With the rise of social media and digital platforms, the power dynamics in entertainment are shifting, and consumers are demanding more authenticity from the content they engage with. Harrell sees this as an opportunity to reinforce his commitment to staying true to himself.

“Music is timeless, and I believe the soul of music is the richest thing this world has to offer,” says Zavieh Harrell.

He views music as a way to navigate the challenges of today’s world, offering a means of connection and reflection in an increasingly fast-paced, digital landscape. “People want to hear from real people,” Harrell said, and his music seeks to provide that realness, cutting through the noise with a message that resonates.

What’s Next for Harrell?

Following the release of “Timeless,” Harrell has quite a few exciting projects on the horizon. He and his team are working hard on new music, with plans to drop two more songs next month. Additionally, he’s been involved in the production of two shows, which are set to release later this year and early next year. Beyond his creative pursuits, Harrell is looking to expand his philanthropic efforts with the goal of scaling his foundation for underprivileged kids on a national level.

“I’m just grateful to contribute to other people’s dreams,” Harrell said. Whether through music, film, or community work, Harrell is committed to making a positive impact on the world.
