Tilt, a tech startup based in Colorado, has raised $7.4 million in Series A funding to improve leave management through its service solution platform.

Led by Firework Ventures, existing investors like Matchstick Ventures, Rockies Venture Club, Sofia, and Foursight doubled down by participating in the round. Brigette Lau, Founding Partner at Firework Ventures, said about the firm’s participation in the round:

“At Firework, we invest in companies leading the future of work. Tilt is a great example of a company humanizing work by focusing on the leave process. We were excited by Tilt’s mission–to reimagine leave–and even more excited by Jen and her team. We are thrilled to be partnering with Tilt for the next phase of the company’s journey.”

Tilt was founded in 2017 with the mission to provide companies with technology solutions that revolutionized the employee leave experience. The startup-s platform not only simplifies the leave process but also ensures efficiency, allowing organizations and businesses to handle complex leaves while being compliant with legislative updates and subsequent compliance changes. The result is an increase in employee retention, compliance, and HR efficiency. Jen Henderson, Founder and CEO of Tilt, referred to this mission by stating:

“We started Tilt when we recognized, and experienced firsthand, the major flaws in the current way most companies handle employee leave. Our mission was to develop an effective tech-based solution to improve the experience for all parties involved with an employee’s leave process. With our Series A funding, we will be able to continue engineering an experience that turns current leave management systems on their heads, and for once offers employees a humanized support tool during their most challenging times.”

The experience of paid leave has always been a complex and challenging experience for companies to navigate, and the pandemic has highlighted its importance as an essential benefit for workers. With 10%-15% of the world’s employees who apply for annual leave continuing to go up each year, the demand for solutions specifically designed for its management is also on the rise. Tilt is looking to meet this demand by providing a comprehensive and self-updating solution that completely eliminates the need for manual work.
