Stryker the cat, a rescued savannah cat turned social media personality has launched its own NFT collection to help the Zoological Wildlife Foundation through donations.

Launched back in October of 2021 by Instagram and Tiktok’s favorite, Stryker aims to use its internet fame to have a positive impact on the world. The concept behind the project is simple: Provide collectors with the chance to acquire one or more one-of-a-kind NFT representations of Stryker and donate part of the profits toward helping wild animals experience the living conditions he once did. In the “words” of Stryker the cat:

“It’s so sad that we have so many cats out there that need good food and good homes. This year for my birthday we’re doing something really cool to raise money for cat charities. I’m launching my own NFT and we’ll be donating a portion of that to help Zoological.”

The project will follow a similar approach to that of most NFT collectible projects by offering art based on the feline character. These art pieces will have unique takes on pop culture, style, and color pallets. The NFTs will be sold during phase 1 of the project, with other 3 phases following over the next months,

These phases will focus on allocating $25k to promoting community-created content, creating a business club to the benefit of holders, raffling special edition pieces with cash prizes, and most importantly, donating to the Zoological Wildlife Foundation in Miami. To incentivize participation from the community, the project will also be raffling a Lamborghini Urus.

While the pre-sale was scheduled to take place on November 11th, the team decided to close it due to unforeseen issues. The team referred to this decision via Twitter:

With NFTs becoming increasingly popular among collectors and Stryker holding the Guinness World Record for “Most followers on TikTok at 8.2 followers, the project has quickly become a major event in the community. Hopefully, its success might result in thousands of animals having their living situation improved as a result of the donations.
