If you were to ask any leader if they agreed with the assertion that we live in a data-driven world, you would find that most agree. They are right to do so; the amount of data being generated every day is higher than ever before. Unfortunately, real-time data is an afterthought for many in the c-suite, and as a result, companies are not maximizing the value this data can provide.
“Without real-time data, leaders are blind.” states Nicolas Orban, CEO of Conduktor, a platform which helps simplify Apache Kafka, a distributed system enabling thousands of companies to interact with real-time data from devices to delivery services.
Companies such as Amazon, Netflix, and Uber rely on data streaming to properly deliver services while relaying accurate information to customers. Without this real time data, features such as online payment processing, real-time location tracking, and video streaming all would not be possible.
This creates a constant stream of useful data, and the quicker you can collect and act on this data, the better you will be able to adapt. However, this is easier said than done. Companies dealing with these real-time data pipelines are often managing millions of points of data, all of which needs to be collected, labeled, and analyzed. While Apache Kafka makes this possible, it does not make it easy.
With a team including some of the original developers working on Apache Kafka, Orban became very familiar with the difficulty that comes with using the platform. So, in order to open up access to the many benefits that real-time data streaming can provide, he founded Conduktor in 2020.
Conductor’s platform allows real-time data to be easily accessed, compiled, and used. The platform lowers the barrier to entry for companies around the globe, allowing businesses to make the most out of their data, in real-time, without an army of data engineers. Their platform was released at the end of September 2022.
