One year after its rebrand, Nimbl continues to be the trusted partner for safety, compliance, and efficiency.

In 2024, one of aviation’s most trusted names, AviationManuals, made a bold move. After nearly 30 years, the company rebranded as Nimbl, marking its evolution beyond manuals toward a broader suite of safety management, regulatory documents, risk assessments, emergency response plans, and operational support solutions.

In the year since its rebrand, Nimbl rolled out new solutions, innovative technology, and educational initiatives to help operators navigate the increasingly complex aviation landscape with confidence and clarity. Today, the company serves as a true one-stop resource for operators of all sizes.

“We’ve accomplished so much in our first year as Nimbl. We’ve helped operators strengthen their procedures, improve compliance, and elevate their overall safety culture,” said Mark Baier, Nimbl CEO.

Serving more than 4,000 operators worldwide, Nimbl’s evolution to a fully integrated solutions platform has been defined by innovation, collaboration, and measurable growth.

“The company now manages more than 5,000 operational manuals and 50,000 risk assessments each year. Since the rebrand, we’ve also seen a 34% year-over-year increase in operators using the Nimbl App and a 41% rise in submitted Flight Risk Assessments, clear indicators that operators are engaging more deeply with both their manuals and safety management,” said Baier.

A Year of Momentum

In its first year under the Nimbl brand, the company launched a series of major updates,  tools, and educational programs designed to improve operational safety and simplify compliance.

Key initiatives and tools include:

  • New Nimbl App — Enables users to access documents, conduct risk assessments, and send feedback to their Nimbl advisor from any mobile device.
  • Osprey Flight Solutions Integration — Delivers real-time global security alerts directly within the Nimbl platform.
  • New MEL Projects Tool — Provides a guided, streamlined process for submitting aircraft data.
  • Airplane Manager Integration — Automated data syncing for faster, more accurate risk assessments.
  • GPS Spoofing and Jamming Webinar — A timely educational session to address security threats and provide operators with mitigation tactics.
  • Gander OCR Webinar — An educational session delivered in collaboration with Gander’s Oceanic Control Region (OCR), providing operators with firsthand guidance on correct flight procedures.
  • Redesigned Risk Assessment Tool — Features a cleaner, easy-to-use interface that allows crews to complete assessments on the go.

Each initiative reflects Nimbl’s focus on turning complex compliance and safety requirements into intuitive, actionable systems that streamline aviation operations.

Customer-Centered Innovation

While innovation and education have been at the forefront of Nimbl’s focus over the past year, much of the company’s progress stems from listening to its customers and developing solutions to meet their needs.

Based on customer feedback, Nimbl redesigned its Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft (SAFA) Manual with a more user-friendly format. The company also launched Nimbl Aces, a customer advisory committee created to maintain open communication with operators and gain deeper insight into the evolving challenges they face.

To better support clients, Nimbl expanded its Customer Success Team, offering personalized assistance with Safety Management Systems (SMS), manuals, and other operational needs.

After seeing an 85% increase in operators implementing Emergency Response Plans, Nimbl launched its Emergency Response Plan Guide, a free resource designed to help operators of all sizes develop actionable plans for any scenario.

The new tools and initiatives underscore Nimbl’s commitment to listening, adapting, and developing solutions to make aviation compliance more efficient while emphasizing and enhancing safety.

Looking Ahead

As Nimbl enters its second year under the new name, the company shows no signs of slowing down. Building on the momentum from the past year, Nimbl remains focused on  empowering operators with intelligent tools, training, and technology that redefine what operational excellence and safety mean in modern aviation.

As the aviation industry grows more complex, Nimbl stands out as a trusted partner and industry leader, enabling operators to stay ahead of evolving requirements to remain compliant, safer, and ready for what comes next.
