Fernando Raudales, MD, FASN, FACP, has been making significant contributions to the field of nephrology for over three decades. As the founder and consultant of El Paso Kidney Specialists, a private practice established in 1990, Raudales has been dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients with kidney-related issues.
Extensive Leadership Experience in Healthcare Institutions
Raudales has held numerous leadership positions in various healthcare institutions throughout his career. He has served as the chief of staff at Providence Memorial Hospital and Sierra Medical Center and as the chairman of the department of internal medicine at Sierra Medical Center. He has also been the medical director of acute dialysis at Sierra Medical Center and the medical director of transplant services for Sierra Medical Center and Las Palmas Medical Center.
Commitment to Education and Mentorship
Raudales’ passion for medicine and education can be traced back to his early influences, including his father and aunt, who were both outstanding physicians. He credits various colleagues for their mentorship throughout his career. He is proud to support his two sons as they pursue their own medical degrees, continuing the family legacy of excellence in the medical field.

Dedication to Community Service
In addition to his professional achievements, Raudales is deeply committed to serving his community. He has been a consistent presence at the Baptist Free Clinic in El Paso, Texas, since 2005, providing free medical care to those in need. He served in the United States Army from 1990 to 1991 and was the president of the El Paso Medical Society in 1996.
