Michele Mauceri’s Energetic Path: From Global Transitions to Sustainable Futures

Published on October 15, 2025

Michele Mauceri has dedicated his career to energy infrastructure and sustainable development. As an engagement manager at the renowned global management consulting firm McKinsey & Co., he stands at the forefront of the energy transition. He is a leader of critical infrastructure projects both within and beyond the U.S. Mauceri has conducted on-site consulting work for clients and acted as a nexus between the firm’s leadership, clients, and on-the-ground teams, all while striving toward sustainable and scalable outcomes.

Navigating the Path: A Professional Odyssey

Mauceri began his career at McKinsey in 2021 as a senior analyst in Amsterdam, soon progressing to associate in 2022. In 2023, he transferred to the McKinsey & Co. U.S. offices and was soon appointed to the role of expert engagement manager. He previously worked as an associate at PwC Strategy (formerly Booz & Co.) from 2019 to 2021 and as a capstone project consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank in 2019.

Mauceri’s time at PwC Strategy bolstered his interest in the energy sector’s intersection of geopolitics and sustainable development, rekindling his childhood interest in science. He adopted a boots-on-the-ground learning approach to energy transition topics, drawing on his knowledge of business and engineering.

In 2017, Mauceri gained valuable experience through internships as a business analyst at Groupe Crédit Agricole in Luxembourg, an accounting adviser at KPMG in Italy, and a junior consultant at a boutique strategy consulting firm.

Academic Beginnings and Professional Genesis

In 2019, Mauceri earned two master’s degrees from IE Business School, one in international management and the other in international relations and affairs. During his educational tenure, he was consistently ranked in the top five percent of his class and was named to the dean’s list. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and management from Luiss Guido Carli University, graduating in 2016. Mauceri is a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma, further underscoring his academic achievements.

Beyond the Boardroom: Fellowship and Mentorship

Mauceri attributes his professional success to his family, particularly his mother and wife, the latter of whom works for the United Nations Global Compact. Additionally, old-fashioned grit, staying informed of current trends, and matching his career to his true passions have aided in his success.

Mauceri has always nurtured a passion for international cooperation and multi-disciplinary projects. He has participated in several international projects, namely the UN-funded National Model United Nations in 2016, where he served as head delegate and received the Outstanding Delegate in the General Assembly recognition. Mauceri also co-founded a number of university-based initiatives, participated in international multicultural programs, and volunteered in Southeast Asia with the Green Lion association. Currently, he mentors students from IE Business School and LUISS Guido Carli University.

Visions Ahead and Guiding Principles

Over the coming years, Mauceri looks forward to promoting U.S. green energy investment and driving the transition to alternative energy sources. He is passionate about clean technology and sustainability and is currently working on solutions with aspirations of becoming a notable figure in his field. In view of the various challenges our society faces, such as global warming, he is dedicated to advancing positive and effective solutions that are both economic and environmentally sustainable.

Mauceri believes in the importance of reliability, affordability, and sustainability in the energy sector. He counsels others that true success stems from staying grounded in their personal stories, intentionally shaping their narratives, and regularly reflecting on the journey that brought them to where they are.
