Jennifer Esquibel Blazer, recognized for her work in the accounting industry, was honored by Marquis Who’s Who for her contributions. She has experience in bookkeeping, payroll management, and technology integration and has consistently worked to improve industry standards. She is now focused on addressing the shortage of skilled bookkeepers by launching a new educational institute.
“The accounting field is changing rapidly, and we need skilled professionals who can keep up with these changes,” Blazer says, explaining her motivation for starting the institute. “Many traditional programs miss the practical aspects of bookkeeping, which is a gap we intend to fill.”
From Hospitality to Accounting: A Journey of Applied Expertise
Blazer’s career path reflects her ability to adapt and apply her skills in different fields. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management from New Mexico State University, she transitioned into the accounting industry, combining her experience in hospitality with financial expertise. Her company, Top Shelf Services LLC, which began as BBP Services LLC, has developed a solid reputation in the industry.
Building a Lasting Talent Pipeline for the Bookkeeping Profession
“It is not just about filling jobs,” Blazer explains. “We are focused on developing a talent pipeline to support and strengthen the bookkeeping profession in the long term.”
Blazer continues to improve her approach, focusing on raising standards and encouraging others in the accounting industry to do the same.
In addition to Blazer’s recognition by Marquis Who’s Who, she was named one of the World’s Most Exemplary Women Leaders in Business by World Leaders in 2023. She was also included in IE Magazine’s Top 10 Inspiring Leaders in 2022. Despite these achievements, Blazer continues to look ahead, mainly focusing on providing hands-on training through her institute, which is currently in beta.
