In 2007, Westling earned a bachelor’s degree in business, focusing on marketing and organizational management, from the University of Colorado. Her educational background built a strong foundation for her career, providing her with the necessary knowledge and skills needed for her entrepreneurial journey.
Westling is the owner and president of Team b. Strategy +, a strategic communications firm that helps clients reach their target audiences through awareness and education. The result is clients who can engage people, promote ideas, sell products, gain support, and make an impact. Founding Team b. Strategy + in 2011, Westling’s role includes responsibilities such as managing budgets, overseeing human resources, client delivery and making critical decisions that shift the company forward. Westling also supervises contracts and acquisitions, focusing on federal contracting and playing a pivotal role in managing proposal processes to secure smooth business operations.
Under Westling’s leadership, Team b. Strategy + is recognized for its expertise in strategic planning, brand strategy, communications, instructional design, graphic design, and government relations. The firm also offers marketing services to a diverse clientele, including small businesses, large corporations, government agencies, advertising agencies, and design firms.
Before founding Team b. Strategy +, Westling was a marketing consultant at AtHoc from 2007 to 2011, honing her advertising and communications skills while interning at Rusty George Creative in 2012. She then shifted to serving on the R&D Committee for Hilltop Artists from 2011 to 2012. She is a member of AFCEA International, The Military Spouse Chamber of Commerce, and the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

She was also recognized as an Emerging Star by the Women’s Chamber of Commerce in 2023 and has received Bronze, Silver, and Gold Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
Outside her professional life, Westling enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, hiking, and cooking. As a dedicated military spouse, she also supports her husband in achieving his military career goals while inspiring other military spouses to pursue their own aspirations.
