As our economy continues to weaken and layoffs grow each day, more Americans are being pushed into entrepreneurship than ever before.

That’s not a bad thing, of course, but as today’s new business owners jump into the entrepreneurial world, many are realizing that while they do have the drive, intelligence, and courage, they don’t yet have the knowledge they need when it comes to key aspects of business.

One aspect is business funding — which can make or break a small business. In fact, a lack of capital is cited as the number one reason for businesses failing according to the U.S. Small Business Administration. Unfortunately, most Americans don’t understand financial topics, which explains why the “Chase Banking Glitch” became a trend on social media leading to millions of people facing fines and criminal charges. The knowledge gap is even more stark when it comes to financial topics critical to entrepreneurship, like business credit.

Sharon Weiler wants to help change that so more of today’s entrepreneurs will be more successful, and this new segment hosted by Amanda Webster, titled Fund&Grow, is the first step in her mission. Weiler, creator of nationally syndicated Daily Flash, knows all too well how brutal the path can be when you’re learning everything on the fly.

“I took a lot of bruises along my entrepreneurial journey and that cost me time and effort, so if I can help other entrepreneurs learn what they need to know so they can avoid the mistakes in the first place, I’m happy to do that. And this is critical to all of us, whether we have a business or not because the small business community employs almost half of the US workforce, so if they go under, so will our entire economy. I’d like to play a part in preventing that.”

Weiler says Webster was chosen to host the segment, part of the show’s Financially Speaking programming, because of her reputation in the business funding community and her ability to distill complex financial topics into plain language that anyone can understand. Webster is also a noted columnist at Newsmax and Tampa Bay Business & Wealth, which is what caught Weiler’s attention in the first place.

“Amanda is a powerhouse because she’s incredibly knowledgeable and relatable. I’m looking forward to helping her to reach and impact millions of viewers through her segment on Daily Flash because I know her advice will help small businesses across the country to thrive. That could mean food on the table and a roof over the heads for millions of Americans who may have otherwise gone without. It’s an honor to be leading a mission like this,” she explains.

The Fund&Grow segment will be centered around business funding and will teach viewers how to secure their first $250,000 in funding for their small business. This includes strategies and tactics to get funding under your business instead of your personal credit, to maximize your business credit score, which works completely differently than your personal credit score, and to eventually even eliminate the need for a personal guarantee in some cases. It airs live along with the rest of Daily Flash’s regular programming in over 50 local markets, and it’s also available on the show’s YouTube channel and website. Programming will feature news and advice on business funding to help entrepreneurs get the capital they need to launch and scale their businesses. It’s worth noting that the segment shares a name with the business funding firm Fund&Grow, where Webster serves as Chief Operating Officer.

Webster says, “I’m honored to have the opportunity to help so many entrepreneurs by sharing my knowledge on business funding with the Daily Flash audience.”

She continues, “I work with hundreds of entrepreneurs every day, and I see first hand the impact that getting funding can have on their trajectory. Sometimes, it can even mean the difference between closing their doors forever or staying in business long enough to outlast an economic downturn. So I love that I have the ability to help these entrepreneurs solve one of their biggest challenges.”

“Sharon has built something amazing here and it’s a pleasure to be a part of this mission,” concludes Webster.
