What if anyone could build and own intelligence itself?
That question powered Codechella Summit, the debut flagship summit from ChatAndBuild, which united more than 200 global builders, founders, and researchers from across Asia, Europe, and the United States to define the next chapter of intelligent technology.
Co-hosted with BNB Chain, the summit convened leaders from OpenAI, Google Cloud, Strategy, BytePlus, Babylon Labs, and Messari, alongside top universities, venture funds, and emerging founders, marking one of the most comprehensive gatherings yet at the intersection of AI, infrastructure, and innovation.
Building Intelligence, Together
Opening the summit, Christel Buchanan, Founder & CEO of ChatAndBuild, shared the company’s vision of an AI Super App where anyone can chat, build, and own intelligent systems, with no coding required.
“We built Codechella as a place where ideas become infrastructure,” Buchanan said. “Our vision is to make building intelligence as natural and accessible as communication itself.”
The keynote unveiled Non-Fungible Agents (NFAs): intelligent, memory-native AI agents that users can build, train, and trade using ChatAndBuild’s BAP-578 token standard on BNB Chain. Each NFA carries its own persona and experience data, granting verifiable ownership of the intelligence its builder creates.
“The collaboration with ChatAndBuild demonstrates how BNB Chain can serve as programmable infrastructure for intelligent systems,” said Walter Lee, Business Development at BNB Chain. “What we’re seeing is the beginning of an era where AI agents are not just trained, but owned, with verifiable, on-chain memory and identity.”
From Experiments to Ownership
Three high-energy panels mapped the evolution of intelligence from experimentation to infrastructure:
- Bitcoin as Intelligent Infrastructure explored Bitcoin’s shift from store of value to programmable compute layer, featuring insights from Strategy, BNB Chain, and Babylon Labs.
- Enterprise AI in Practice showcased secure deployments from BytePlus and verifiable agent settlement layers from BNB Chain.
- The Builders’ Lens, moderated by Messari, demonstrated how NFAs transform AI into an accessible, tradeable asset class for every creator.
The summit closed with a fireside chat between Buchanan and OpenAI’s Thomas Jeng on “The Future of Intelligence: GPT-5, Agents, and Asia’s Builders.”
“Intelligence shouldn’t just live on a server, it should belong to its builder,” Buchanan said.
Beyond the Summit: A Movement Takes Shape
The post-event energy translated into action, with new collaborations and hackathon partnerships forming immediately.
ChatAndBuild announced:
- Codechella Tour: Singapore, a national university hackathon with Google Cloud, Figma, OpenAI, and BNB Chain, culminating on November 7.
- Codechella Kids, introducing AI literacy for young creators.
- Codechella Sessions: Bristol, launching October 23, continuing the platform’s international expansion.
“Our mission is simple,” Buchanan said. “Empower every builder, everywhere, to create and own intelligence.”
