Angus Stephens didn’t just follow a traditional path — he questioned it. And in doing so, he became one of the few financial professionals actually helping clients win the retirement game.
Born in Miami and raised in Ocala, Florida — a town known for its rolling hills, horse farms, and strong community — Angus learned early on that legacy and integrity matter. His family left Miami to build a life centered around showing Quarter Horses and running a cattle operation. That foundation of discipline and hard work set the tone for everything that came next.
After graduating from the University of Florida, Angus built a strong career in the wireless industry, where he sharpened his communication and relationship-building skills. But his trajectory shifted when he stepped into one of the largest brokerage firms in the country. It didn’t take long before he saw the cracks in the system.
“I realized that most people were being led down the same tired path: work hard, contribute to your company plan, and then just hope for the best,” Angus says. “But the truth is, those plans are full of risk, fees, and taxes — and they rarely deliver what people think they will.”
That wake-up call led him to reimagine how he served clients. He ditched the cookie-cutter portfolios and market-dependent strategies and instead built a model rooted in safety, transparency, and long-term performance. His core philosophy? Eliminate Risk, Fees, and Taxes — also known as the “ERFT” strategy.
Today, Angus is known for giving clients what traditional firms rarely offer: options. Real ones. Tax-advantaged strategies. Risk-mitigated vehicles. And most importantly, peace of mind.
“I don’t just hand people a generic plan,” he explains. “My role is to listen, understand their goals, and then help them align their savings with a strategy that actually supports their vision for retirement.”
That approach has earned him not only loyal clients but a reputation for being honest, thorough, and results-driven. For Angus, success isn’t just about closing deals — it’s about making sure every person walks away with more clarity, confidence, and control over their financial future.
Even those he can’t serve directly still leave with something valuable. “Not everyone is the right fit for our strategies, and that’s okay,” he says. “If I can leave someone with more knowledge than they had when they came in, that’s a win in my book.”
Outside of business, Angus is a dedicated member of Rotary International and committed to community service. His personal life, grounded in faith, family, and a strong sense of balance, gives him the energy to keep showing up for clients day after day.
Looking ahead, Angus plans to expand his impact across the Southeast and Midwest — bringing smarter retirement strategies to professionals who are ready to stop gambling with their future.
Because for Angus, it’s never been about hype. It’s about helping people finally get the results they deserve.
