Celebrating more than 15 years of expertise in the legal industry, Benjamin Abdulnour, Esq., specializes in helping individuals fight back against the system, from car crash injuries to hurricane damage or criminal arrests. Having always fought for the Davids and against the Goliaths, Abdulnour is an advocate for individuals battling major players, whether it be multibillion-dollar insurance carriers or the prison-industrial complex.
His new law firm, ATLAS Defense Law, will help people primarily in the Fort Myers, FL area with all their legal problems. Before this new and exciting chapter, he served as the statewide senior trial attorney for the Pendas Law Firm, after half a decade fighting for the people at Morgan & Morgan.
Preparing for Success
Always on fire with passion to fight the system of mass incarceration, Abdulnour obtained dual bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and political science from the University of Florida in 2006, followed by a Juris Doctorate from FSU Law School in 2009.
He began his legal career living in the courtroom and trying over 50 cases as first chair counsel. After seven years in those legal trenches, he moved to the civil arena in 2017 and honed his skills as a personal injury advocate for the injured.
Abdulnour’s most significant skillset is his trial experience, having successfully fought and won against many insurance companies and overzealous prosecutors. But his most enduring accomplishment is his appeal, which challenged the incarceration of truant children. After filing writs of habeas corpus, he convinced the appellate court that this practice should be ended immediately and secured his client’s freedom. That victory is still published in Westlaw.
Driven to Make a Difference
Now Abdulnour has founded his own law firm to help those trying to navigate the complex legal system: ATLAS Defense Law.
He wants to help people whose homes have been damaged by hurricanes, who have been hurt in car crashes, or who face disproportionate punishment by the criminal system. He is a pillar of the community in southwest Florida and, in his spare time, serves as president of the Lee County Legal Aid Society, which helps indigent residents with various civil issues.
Recent developments in Florida have made it harder for homeowners and car crash victims to get the justice they deserve. Abdulnour wants to fight for the individuals against the major insurance conglomerates. He remains dedicated to fighting for those who have been wronged and encourages anyone fighting with their insurance company to seek representation by someone experienced in both legal nuances and jury trials.
