Early buzz surrounding Disco Island Escape was generated last December at PAX U, leaving fans eager to get their hands on the newest title from Hootenanny Games. Launching in mid-January, the goal of Disco Island Escape is to be the first to get three of your lemurs from Disco Ball Mountain, across the lava streams, and to safety offshore. Players can play up to three cards to move their lemurs by matching symbols on the lava stream. Landing on another player’s lemur sends it back to Disco Ball Mountain with a case of “Disco Fever,” while the active lemur flips to its “Groovy” side, doubling its speed.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Feelin’ Cute welcomes players to an ultimate showdown of adorableness. Play starts with a cute animal card in the center of the Cuteness Meter. The Cuteness Boss draws a card, secretly decides if the animal is more or less cute than the first animal, and declares “I’m Feelin’ Cute!” The other players then use their animal paws to vote how they think the Cuteness Boss ranks the new animal on the Cuteness Meter. Points are awarded for correct guesses, or all players can play together cooperatively without keeping score.
