Once trapped in an abusive marriage for over a decade, Kerensa Gulliver now dedicates her life to empowering women who feel silenced, broken, or lost. Her story is one of turning personal pain into a force for global change.
“You cannot change anyone,” says Kerensa, “but you can change how you interact and respond to them.” This advice is a lifeline she has extended to women across the world.
Her work, however, didn’t begin as a grand vision. It started with a single question: How do I rebuild from this? That question evolved into an answer not only for herself but for thousands of women she’s since helped through coaching, mentorship, and advocacy.
A Mission Rooted in Experience
Kerensa’s mission to uplift women comes from deeply personal roots. Growing up in a country plagued by high rates of domestic violence, she witnessed its devastation early on. At just 12 years old, she saw a close friend’s mother brutally abused. “I hated abuse,” she recalls, “without even fully understanding it.”
Little did she know, she’d one day find herself in a similar situation. For years, she endured an abusive marriage, questioning how she got there. Only after breaking free did she realize that unresolved trauma from her childhood had paved the way for unhealthy relationships. It was this realization that sparked her passion for helping others heal.
“When we, as women, heal from our past, whether it be neglect, rejection, or failed relationships, we open ourselves up to a better future,” Kerensa explains. “Healing is transformational.”
Turning Pain Into Purpose
Kerensa doesn’t just talk about healing. She actively creates pathways for it with her coaching programs, which are designed around four core principles: Preparation, Process, Progress, and Product. Each step guides women through the messy, often painful work of self-discovery and growth.
Preparation involves identifying the root causes of pain, whether from childhood trauma or dysfunctional patterns. Process then dives into the hard work of tackling those issues, step by step. Progress continues by evaluating what’s working and adjusting as needed. Finally, Product celebrates the result: a stronger, healthier version of oneself.
The simplicity of these principles is intentional. “It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by healing,” Kerensa says. “But breaking it into manageable steps makes it achievable.”
Her work extends beyond one-on-one coaching. Through group sessions, women find solace in shared experiences, while her retreats offer immersive opportunities for healing in serene, supportive environments.
The Power of Voice
Central to Kerensa’s mission is the idea of finding and using one’s voice. For women who’ve experienced trauma, speaking up can feel impossible. It is a feeling that Kerensa knows all too well, which is why she focuses on empowering women to advocate for themselves, stand firm in their worth, and take charge of their narratives.
Her leadership mentorship program builds on this foundation, equipping women with skills in public speaking, team management, and decision-making.
For many women, seeing Kerensa herself as a living example of resilience is inspiration enough. Her book, It Didn’t Kill Me: How God Delivered Me from the Ashes of Divorce, chronicles her journey from heartbreak to hope, serving as a guide and showing readers that faith and determination can turn even the darkest moments into stepping stones for a brighter future.
Creating a Ripple Effect
While Kerensa’s work often starts with individual women, its impact doesn’t stop there. Her vision is to create a global movement where empowered women uplift their families, communities, and beyond. “When women heal, it creates a ripple effect,” she says. “It goes beyond a single person and benefits generations.”
Through her retreats and speaking engagements, Kerensa reaches audiences far and wide, spreading her message of resilience and hope. But her ultimate goal is to build a world where women no longer feel silenced or sidelined. It’s a vision of collective empowerment — one voice, one woman, one community at a time.
Moving Forward with Purpose
For Kerensa Gulliver, her work is a calling. Every woman she helps to heal represents another step toward a future where all women can live with confidence and purpose. “It’s about rewriting the narrative of what’s possible,” she says. And she’s leading by example.
Kerensa’s story is a rallying cry for women everywhere to reclaim their voices. As her movement grows, so does the promise of a world where resilience triumphs, and no woman feels alone in her journey to heal.
