Tobias D. Pasquale has made an impressive career for himself in software development, finding success by building authentic relationships and being transparent with his team.
Pasquale is a distinguished software development manager at Amazon, where he has been instrumental in optimizing global transportation times and distances for the company’s network of truck movers since 2022. In this role, he oversees a team of eight software developers, ensuring timely and organized service delivery.
Pasquale’s responsibilities include maintaining and updating new requests based on priority, managing software automation, and improving processes to achieve significant cost savings. He says, “One of the things that I am most proud of in my time at Amazon was receiving the Innovator Award. I was doing technical program management at that time.”
Leveraging over a decade of success at Amazon, Pasquale joined the organization as a digital lead. Over the years, he has held various roles, including business analyst NOC, program manager II, North American start-up project manager, technical program manager II, and senior technical program manager in operations engineering. Pasquale’s journey with the retail giant reflects his dedication and ability to adapt to different challenges. In addition to his work at Amazon, Pasquale owns a 3D printing business that serves small businesses selling items online. He also operates a motorcycle rental business through the Riders Share platform.
Moreover, Pasquale is involved in real estate investment, owning rental properties in Texas with plans to expand further. Aside from these ventures, he has been instrumental as an advisory board member for Halfmoon Capital and Topline through AdvisoryCloud since 2023.
Pasquale’s commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement has been pivotal in his career success. Despite initially studying biomedical science, he discovered his passion for technology and software development while working at Amazon during his last year of college. In preparation for his career, Pasquale received a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Marshall University in 2011 and the completion of a coding boot camp from the University of Arizona in 2019.
Pasquale also holds several certifications, including a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the Management & Strategy Institute in 2015 and an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10 certification from the OSHA Safety Training Institute in 2019.
