Dr. Rumpa Amornmarn, a distinguished radiotherapy and cancer treatment expert, has been inducted into the Marquis Who’s Who biographical registry. This honor recognizes Dr. Amornmarn’s exceptional contributions to the field of oncology, particularly her work as the president of the Osceola Cancer Center, where she has been instrumental in advancing patient care through innovative radiation therapies.
Four Decades of Dedication to Oncology
Dr. Amornmarn has over 40 years of excellence in radiotherapy and cancer treatment. Since 2006, she has been focused on improving cancer treatment at the Osceola Cancer Center, particularly through the use of Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT). Additionally, she has served as the president of Artesan LLC since 2010. She is an active member of prominent medical organizations, including the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American College of Radiology, and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
Dr. Amornmarn’s career began in 1976 as a consultant at Baltimore City Hospital. She then joined the East Orange VA Medical Center as a staff member in 1977. In 1978, she became an assistant professor of radiology at New Jersey Medical School, followed by a position as an assistant professor of radiation oncology at the University of Maryland Medical Center in 1981. By 1983, she was a staff physician and associate professor of radiation oncology at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville. Throughout her career, she has authored numerous presentations and contributed more than 25 articles to professional journals.
Dr. Amornmarn’s education includes a Faculty of Science degree from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok in 1967 and a Doctor of Medicine from Mahidol University in 1971. After immigrating to the United States in 1972, she completed an internship at the VA Hospital, followed by a residency in therapeutic radiology and a fellowship in radiology and oncology at Johns Hopkins University in 1977. She is certified by the American Board of Radiology. She is dedicated to continuing her work in the coming years, aiming to improve medical care and enhance the quality of life for her patients.
