Marquis Who’s Who honors Arijey Chaporkar for his expertise in the field of engineering. Backed by years of considerable engineering expertise, Chaporkar excels as a BIW design engineer for Detroit Engineered Products. In this capacity, he maintains responsibility for design release engineering for underbody systems and coordinates with the manufacturing, assembly, and simulation groups.

During the early stages of Chaporkar’s career, he gained valuable expertise in design engineering with L&T Technology Services Limited and machine learning with Great Learning. Likewise, Chaporkar honed considerable professional experience with Goken America as a mechanical design engineer.

An expert in his field, Chaporkar holds a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering and a Master of Science in mathematics from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science. Subsequently, he completed a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University and a diploma in artificial intelligence and machine learning from The University of Texas at Austin.

Currently, Chaporkar is designing cars for Mahindra & Mahindra. In crafting electric vehicles, he is responsible for the structure’s design from start to finish. Chaporkar gathers input from all the different departments, including non-metal components such as plastic parts, and ensures that they satisfy the car’s strength requirements.

Chaporkar elaborates, “Electric vehicle technology is good for the environment, but right now, it is a little bit expensive. So, all the research and development efforts, especially by top companies, are focused on reducing the price of cars. They are coming up with innovative ideas to bring the cost down without compromising the user’s comfort and all the aspects of the car.”

While Chaporkar’s career has been filled with highlights, he is most proud of his contributions to Detroit Engineered Products’ simulation group. While hard work and dedication have propelled his career, he credits his success to his proficiency in mathematics and physics, his analytical skills, and his passion for his work. He also notes his strong personal connections with his co-workers and supervisors.

In the coming years, Chaporkar intends to contribute his expertise to more optimal designs for electric and self-driving cars. Ultimately, he aims to obtain a leadership role, such as director of engineering, to guide and mentor up-and-coming industry professionals.
