WiT Startup Pitch is back with the support of Amazon Web Services (AWS), the most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform in the world, in its fourth year running.

Under the collaboration, not only are selected startups provided with over US$250,000 worth of AWS credits, but AWS also will support new technology with the WiT Startup Pitch 2021 via the AWS Activate program.

Chosen companies will receive the tools and resources for startups to grow and scale their businesses. The WiT Startup Pitch is open to all startups involved in the travel industry.

WiT looks for ground-breaking new ideas and clever entrepreneurial minds in travel technology in order to develop the travel industry.

It is available for entries from all over the world, and also seeks out new ideas and fresh batches of entrepreneurs with its regional editions, including WiT Seoul, WiT Japan & North Asia, and WiT Middle East & Africa.

Yeoh Siew Hoon, the founder of WiT, said:

“Just as we know travelers will be back with a vengeance, we know every disruption brings with it great innovation and so we’re using this moment to seek out the best ideas that have either emerged out of COVID-19 or been accelerated by it…We also know that startups formed and strengthened during this period are those forged by fire – creative, courageous, and resilient – and we are delighted that AWS is continuing their collaboration with us for the fourth year running.”

The competition is now open for registrations until August 13, 2021. Then, the selected-10 semi-finalists will pitch at the WiT Innovation Stage on October 18, 2021. WiT Singapore Main Stage will commence on October 19-20, 2021, which returns to Marina Bay Sands with a hybrid experience.

The Grand Finals will take place on October 20, 2021, with three finalists. Finally, the winner of the competition will have the opportunity to make a 5-minute-presentation on Center Stage in the Spotlight session at The Phocuswright Conference in Fort Lauderdale/ Hollywood, Florida, November 15-17, 2021.
