Tove Lo Enlists Finneas for Two New Singles + “Bikini Porn” Video

Published on January 21, 2020

Swedish singer and songwriter Tove Lo, best known for her multi-platinum 2013 single Habits (Stay High), has unveiled her first new music of 2020. The Grammy-nominated artist teamed up with Billie Eilish’s brother and collaborator Finneas to release two singles, “Bikini Porn” and “Passion and Pain Taste The Same When I’m Weak.” The lead track, Bikini Porn, also comes with an official music video directed by Moni Haworth. Both tracks are available for digital streaming across all platforms now.

Shot in the city of Victorville, California, the “Bikini Porn” music video features Tove Lo dancing carelessly with VHS-like video effects laid overtop the footage. Finneas, who co-wrote and produced the track, makes a cameo as her Uber driver. “This video was very fun and very bizarre to shoot,” Tove explains. “There were only seven of us in a van as the crew [as opposed to over 100 people in the Glad He’s Gone video] driving around Victorville.”

Finneas and Tove Lo

On working with Tove Lo, Finneas revealed he’s been a fan of hers since early 2014. “Sometimes you can tell instantly that a songwriter or singer is going to have a lasting impact immediately and that’s exactly how I’ve always felt about Tove,” he said. “Writing with her proved me right. Bar for bar, she’s brilliant and ‘Bikini Porn’ was exactly the song I dreamed of producing for her.”

The two new singles arrive on the heels of the release of Tove Lo’s fourth studio album, Sunshine Kitty. The 14-track collection features empowering pop gems with top-rated guest vocalists such as Doja Cat, Kylie Minogue, and more. Tove describes the album as a “scrapbook” detailing the innermost parts of her psyche like love stories, fears, and infatuations. Fans can listen to the full-length album here

On February 3, 2020, Tove Lo will kick-off her North American headline tour. The Sunshine Kitty Tour will feature support from Alma and special guest Broods. Following her North American run, she will embark on a string of headline shows throughout the UK and Europe. Fans will also see festival performances from her during the spring and summer season of 2020. For tickets and all additional information, visit tove-lo.com.
