TB12, which is a health and wellness brand co-founded by Tom Brady and Alex Guerrero, is launching Performance Meals. It’s a subscriptions service with a line of healthy and convenient meals. TB12 is partnering with the delivery meal service, The Good Kitchen, for the project.
The meals are a solid choice for anyone in need of tasty and quick protein. The foods are high in protein, feature nutrient-rich whole foods with anti-inflammatory properties, and there are no processed ingredients to worry about. The meals available soon are the following: Herb Roasted Chicken and Vegetables; Roasted Cod with Succotash and Chermoula Sauce; Shredded Beef and Rice Bowl; and Quinoa and Chickpea Pilaf with Spiced Cauliflower.
Brady’s company’s philosophy is to find the proper balance between plant-based whole foods and sustainably-sourced protein. “When it comes to meal planning, our clients often feel as though a tradeoff exists between taste, convenience and nutrition,” said John Burns, who’s the CEO of TB12. “Our new line of Performance Meals created in collaboration with The Good Kitchen taste great and are ready to eat in under five minutes, making them an easy way for anyone to get the right fuel that their body needs.” TB12’s meals are also environmentally friendly, since the packaging is recyclable.
The meals will soon be available across the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. It’ll cost $12.99 for subscription meals and $14.76 a la carte. TB12, along with The Good Kitchen, want to help people eat and live better. “Since launching The Good Kitchen, we have been dedicated to changing the way people think about food and are thrilled to be partnering with TB12 in our joint pursuit of making health and wellness accessible to all,” said Amber Lewis, who’s the CEO of The Good Kitchen. “TB12’s Performance Meals are for anyone who’s looking to prioritize their health – together with TB12 we’re giving our customers the power to eat well in order to live better.”
Tom Brady, who now plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, spent years working with his TB12 co-founder, Alex Guerrero, before launching the company. Guerrero is considered an expert on the alkaline diet and previously worked with several members of the New England Patriots. He also wrote the 2004 book, “In Balance for Life: Understanding & Maximizing Your Body’s pH Factor.”
TB12 offers a wide variety of health products and suggestions. With The Good Kitchen, the company is simply expanding. Right now, Brady’s company offers nutrition and hydration products, tips on recovery and healthy living, and workout equipment. Years ago, Brady released the TB12 Nutrition Manual at the price of $200. For such a high cost, the book came with 89 recipes, many of which Brady and his longtime body coach, Guerrero, used. It’s not exactly a cookbook, as Brady explained, but a nutrition manual.
TB12 isn’t the only business venture Tom Brady has outside of his football career. As previously reported on Grit Daily, the football star created his very own production company, similar to LeBron James. 199 Productions, which is a reference to Brady’s NFL draft pick number, is already working with the Russo Brothers (Avengers: Endgame) on a project. “I’m excited to be working with Joe and Anthony Russo and their team at AGBO Films, whose creative vision and unrivaled storytelling has revolutionized the industry,” Brady said at the time. “I believe in the essence of teamwork, and I have no doubt, our team will create the most magical experience for people to enjoy.” Once Brady’s time is up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he’s leading the team 3-2, expect more from 199 Productions and TB12.
