Published on April 30, 2020

In case you are a podcast fan and love to hear crazy stories in real people’s lives, this list will be perfect! So we listed three storytelling podcasts you can’t miss!

Storytelling art is present in our lives since we were young. By definition, it means a person that writes or tells stories. The ones we listed here promise to entertain you and present new perspectives.

Why Podcasts?

Most of us grew up listening to stories from our parents or grandparents. Therefore, stories always find a way to still be present in our lives, from friends, the workplace or family. Now, add incredible podcasts to the list.

According to Orbelo, in January 2020, half of Americans above 12-years-old listen to podcasts. Also, 65% of people prefer to listen on the smartphone. This format is present in different ways as well, it can be on YouTube or other platforms. In 2019, for example, Apple Podcasts were the most popular app to listen to and Spotify the second one.

Beautiful Stories From Anonymous People

This storytelling podcast records a call with an anonymous person and proposes a genuine talk. It’s hosted by Chris Gethard, a famous comedian, and contains real stories. Every episode is with someone new and contains a lot of empathy and turns. It approaches points of view in life and is an awesome podcast to reflect and think. Really positive, creative, and fun.

Every Tuesday a new episode is released. You can check it out on this link!

The Moth

Another real story podcast is The Moth. A person goes to a place full of strangers to tell them what they’ve experienced. It has emotional stories, hopeful, funny, intense and crazy.

It started in 1997 and since 2008 it started going to different cities in the U.S. Supporters of social distancing, “The Moth is working hard to bring you comfort and connection through storytelling in the digital space.”

Every Tuesday and Friday new episodes are released live. On their website, you can find pictures and a brief resume of the podcast. Check it out here!

Last but not least, this amazing podcast presents the ordinary life in extraordinary stories. It’s a first-person diary that talks about pretty much everything!
