This is a decompression edition of the Sunday Sesh. It has been a long week with the nail-biter of an election hanging over everyone’s heads. So, it is only fair that we offer a cathartic collection of new music so you can release all that tension. We have two flavors for you this week: introspective hip-hop and headbanging bass music. We start off this Sunday Sesh with two stunning tracks from Busta Rhymes featuring Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Twelvyy featuring Conway the Machine. Busta Rhymes – ‘Look Over Your Shoulder’ (ft Kendrick Lamar)
Here is some new music from hip-hop legends Busta Rhymes and Kendrick Lamar. The smooth, boom-bap beat has amazing vocal sampling layered over a deep but groovy beat. Kendrick kicks things off with his poetic styling, oscillating between flawless bars and sung harmonies, before Busta comes in and closes the track out with his signature sound. This introspective song is the perfect soundtrack for a rainy day; any day, really.
A$AP Twelvyy ft Conway the Machine – ‘New Amerika’
A$AP Twelvyy teams up with Grit Daily favorite, Conway the Machine for a deep track that perfectly combines subdued strings with a massive bassline. Twelvyy spits bar after bar, lulling you into a trance before the beat switches up and Conway delivers classic Griselda vibes over a more up-beat, throwback rhythm. This complex song is the perfect way to usher in a “New Amerika.’
KLOUD – ‘Insomnia’
This one has been on heavy rotation for me since I first heard it. KLOUD delivers on so many levels with this utterly heavy electro/trap track that incorporates countless timeless vibes into one stunning headbanger. This one is straight red lasers and leather.

Pulsate – ‘Talkin Bout’
Speaking of neck-breaking bass music, we have a premiere from Data Transmission Drum & Bass. ‘Talkin Bout’ from Pulsate is a rolling DNB track with snarling synths and jump-up influences. If that’s all Greek to you, don’t worry about it; all you need to know before you hit play is that this tune is heavy.
