Starbucks’ 5 Classic Holiday Drinks Are Back

Published on November 8, 2019

The 2019 Starbucks holiday drink menu is finally here. As of yesterday, Starbucks brought back their beloved Christmas-themed drinks, so that means the holiday season has officially begun, right?

According to Starbucks’ website, this year’s festive drinks include the Eggnog Latte, Caramel Brulee Latte, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Chestnut Praline Latte and Peppermint Mocha. You can order these drinks in a variety of ways, such as hot, iced and blended. When ordered as a grande, none of these sweet drinks are under 300 calories so prepare to indulge.

Also, Starbucks was giving away limited-edition reusable cups beginning yesterday with the purchase of a hot holiday drink. If you got your hands on one, then bring it in when ordering any hot holiday drink to get 50 cents off. This offer runs until 2 p.m. daily and ends Jan. 7, according to USA Today.

The Eggnog Latte

This first drink is for eggnog-lovers alike. The Eggnog Latte is created with steamed eggnog and Starbucks’ signature espresso. Then a little ground nutmeg is sprinkled on top to give it a bit of flavor. Starbucks calls this drink a “perennial holiday favorite,” so even if you’re not an eggnog fan, then maybe still give it a try.

The Caramel Brulee Latte

This yummy latte is a perfect holiday drink for those who are fans of the Caramel Macchiato. If you want something on the simpler side, then try this one out. It combines espresso, steamed milk and caramel brulee sauce, and then it’s topped with caramel brulee topping.

The Toasted White Chocolate Mocha

Next up is the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha. This one is similar to their normal White Chocolate Mocha, so if you’re a fan, then you’ll love this holiday drink. It combines Starbucks’ signature espresso with steamed milk and caramel white chocolate flavoring. Whipped cream, holiday sugar sparkles and white pearls top it off.

The Chestnut Praline Latte

This unique latte combines Starbucks’ signature espresso, steamed milk and flavors of caramelized chestnuts and spices. Whipped cream and spiced praline crumbs top it off. This drink has the fewest calories of the five, so if you want something lighter, then this is the one for you.

The Peppermint Mocha

Lastly, the Peppermint Mocha is a Starbucks classic. It’s been around for over a decade, and we don’t see it disappearing anytime soon. Starbucks’ describes it as a combination of their signature espresso roast, steamed milk, mocha sauce and peppermint-flavored syrup. It’s then topped with whipped cream and dark chocolate.

Honorable Mention

We can’t forget about the sweet treats. The delicious holiday bakery items are also coming back this month. These include the Cranberry Bliss Bar, Sugar Plum Danish, Snowman Cake Pop, Snowman Cookie, Gingerbread Loaf and the Peppermint Brownie Cake Pop. So, if you’re not a coffee drinker, then be sure to try one of these seasonal sweets.
