We’re living in a digital age and we’re all spending too much time in front of screens, surrounded by devices and electromagnetic signals. Let’s face it–it’s unavoidable. We all need our smartphones nearby and good WiFi is a basic utility these days, but it’s equally important to recognize the consequences of such a connected lifestyle. Somavedic recognizes that, and wants to help people maintain that balance.

Grit Daily spoke with Juraj Kocar, who is the CEO of Somavedic Technologies. Somavedic offers devices that reliably mitigate the unwanted influences on the body of electromagnetic fields (EMF), geopathic stress, and all local tech pollution. Kocar is leading the industry with science-backed holistic approaches to product design in this field.

Grit Daily: What did your transition from your advisor to CEO look like with Somavedic?

Juraj Kocar: I’ve been with the company for a bit more than 3 years now. Since the very first meeting with a Somavedic device, I knew this is something I’d like to be involved with and spread to the world. At the time I had a full-time job, so I was basically only advising how to improve the web, copy, flyers, and how to approach the US market. After less than a year I became a business partner and was planning and executing the strategy. It had a slow start, and I’ve written hundreds of emails to potential partners/influencers but it slowly picked up. I was still working full time for a different company at that time so I was doing it mostly at night after work. Then, somewhere in the middle of 2019, I had a discussion with Ivan Rybjansky (the founder and inventor of Somavedic) that I’d like to go “all in”, leave my job, and set up a US branch. Which we have eventually done in September of 2019 and I became the CEO. So it’s been a gradual process and I’ve worked at all levels, from marketing, social media, newsletters, and sales up to the CEO position.

GD: How has mentorship played a role in your journey as an entrepreneur and leader?

JK: I had a good general understanding of marketing, business development, design, copywriting, etc, and I also read lots of books on this (haha) but I had nobody mentoring me at that time. Sometimes I had to learn things the hard way. As our US team is still only 5 people, the vision of what we want to accomplish with Somavedic is fueling us a lot. Everybody knows what to do, so I don’t need to interfere in that much. I know we would have to involve a more structured approach in the short future but so far the company and the team is doing great.

GD: What are the biggest problems that you are trying to solve with Somavedic and what unique approach are you taking in regard to the solution?

JK: The first prototype of Somavedic was introduced in 2011. Its main intention at the time was to mitigate the negative effects of geopathic stress (Negative earth vibrations coming from for example a flowing river beneath the home). Right after that Ivan decided to focus on a much bigger problem, the mitigation of the negative effects of EMF. In 2011 the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified EMF as a Group 2B – Possibly carcinogenic to humans (the first iPhone was introduced in 2007). Since then we vastly multiplied the strength and number of sources of EMF.

We now live in an all connected world with wearables, cell phones, WiFis, computers, and cell towers all over the place. The amount of man-made technical EMF radiation is more than 1 billion times higher than 50 years ago. These all-penetrating, high-frequency signals at our homes, schools, and work are influencing the very balanced state of our body.

There are different studies showing that long-term exposure to EMF has a negative effect on our brains, so we can’t sleep or focus well, it’s reducing the sperm movement, increasing cardiac stress, and even may cause cancer. Because the “safe” levels of emf radiation are the same now as they were in 1998, this is a huge problem as it’s influencing almost everybody in the western world. The main question now is, when something is a possible carcinogen to humans, why are we putting it everywhere, amplifying it, and at the same time not updating the safety standards?

With our unique approach to this problem, we try to mitigate the negative effects as much as possible. And we see great results. Somavedic is inspired by the eastern approach to Chinese and ayurvedic medicine, and by healing properties of different precious and semi/precious stones. They form the core of each Somavedic and are amplifying each other, so they create a coherent “bubble”, where our cells don’t react to the emf radiation that much.

GD: What kind of science and studies support the case for your Somavedic’s solutions?

JK: We have studies from Germany showing demonstrable improvement in heart rate variability of 80% of test persons. Also, it has a positive effect on heart circulation and helps the autonomic nervous system to maintain internal balance.

Another study is showing that 70% of test persons had lower blood pressure in the 4th week of the study compared to the 1st one. And that their psychological state improved as well, together with the quality and length of the sleep.

We also got measurements showing normalization of the free radical levels in our bodies, in just one day.

Right now we are starting a corporate office trial. We will measure the free radical levels, diabetes biomarkers, anti-inflammatory biomarkers, blood pressure, and HRV. This study is designed by doctors that already had positive previous experience with Somavedic on their test persons. Parallel to this, we will soon start a 1.000 people trial study.

GD: How can Somavedic be used to structure water and what does that even mean?

JK: Structured (or hexagonal) water is the water that’s found in nature and in our cells. It’s the most bioavailable state of water.

When water is mechanically filtered, treated with chemicals, and contaminated with various pollutants or toxins–leading to high tap water toxicity and abnormal estrogen levels in our water–the structure changes and, therefore, the water loses some of its healing benefits. But science is telling us that the structure of water is more important than the chemical composition. That’s why when you put for example a jug of tap water next to the Somavedic, it will harmonize it in about 15min, and the taste will change as well. It will be more smooth, silky or even sweeter.

GD: Are there amazing stories of how Somavedic has helped turn someone’s life around?

JK: To mention all the amazing experiences people had in the last 10 years with Somavedic would require a whole new section 🙂 but I can mention some common occurrences and some specific ones. People in general experience improved sleep, especially women are reporting fewer headaches, people get rid of brain fog, don’t have such mood swings, feel calmer, and have more energy at home and at work. But there are also special cases where Somavedic helped with atrial fibrillation attacks. Another customer was so uplifted that she began composing again after several years, or experienced huge improvements with CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) and Lyme disease. People also report the positive effects on their dogs and cats. We even had one customer with a parrot that lost all it’s feathers years ago and within two months with Somavedic, it all grew back. Then, unfortunately, it flew away. These are just a few to mention.

GD: How will the work from home movement affect your business?

JK: As our US team is 100% remote since the very beginning (they are from different states and countries), it had basically no effect on us. For some larger companies, this was definitely a huge challenge, but it’s also an opportunity to create some new work rules and habits, based on outputs and not time spent in the office. I really hope that all of this will eventually have a positive effect on our work/life balance and that companies start focusing even more on employee wellbeing.
