Grit Daily has partnered with the Official Maleeka Group, a boutique PR firm founded by Maleeka Hollaway that is based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Grit Daily is working with the Official Maleeka Group for the firm’s first live (virtual) event dedicated to making media—from news media to social media—accessible to all. The event will take place on January 15th and 16th, 2021, and is accessible through the Social Proof Success Website.
As part of the partnership, Grit Daily’s managing editor Julia Sachs will be speaking on a panel during the event. The panel will take place on Saturday, January 16th at 2:45 pm where Sachs will discuss the ways in which small businesses and individuals representing themselves can better pitch media companies for organic editorial coverage.
With only seconds to skim through dozens of emails, many publicists and individuals miss their shot to pitch to editors and journalists that could otherwise love the pitch. Sachs will discuss the ways in which people can grab attention, and angle their product or service toward editors in a way that gets them noticed.
Social Proof Success Live is designed to help individuals and small business owners get a leg up in the digital world by providing them with invaluable resources for how they can better market themselves and their business to the world. With this information, Grit Daily hopes to contribute to building a more inclusive and equitable future for small business owners that don’t have the funding or resources to invest in PR firms and marketing specialists that have these resources to begin with.
