Welcome back to Show and Tell, where I unbox sweet tech for every area of your life. I’ve been showcasing some awesome beverage tech, such as the BURNOUT Travel Mug, designed by rocket scientists. In this episode, I check out the LIZ Self-Cleaning Smart Bottle, designed by the award-winning French brand Noerden. Our awareness of germs has been heightened significantly this year, which is why you should wonder what is lurking in your reusable water bottle. This device uses UV-C technology to sanitize the bottle and its contents, keeping your vessel and drinks as clean as possible. Let’s check out some of this device’s best features.
Built-in UV-C light kills bacteria
This smart bottle is seemingly normal at first glance, with its surgical grade stainless steel and leak-proof lid. But the cap holds all the magic. It has a built-in UV-C light that cleans the bottle and your water. Just double tap the cap, and the LIZ starts a five-minute treatment. Your next sip should be delicious, as this device destroys 99.9% of harmful viruses and odor-causing bacteria. And it isn’t a hassle to recharge the battery. If you do one treatment per day, the battery lasts for an entire month. When the juice finally gives out, use the convenient magnetic charger, and you’re good to go for another 30 days.
More and more features
The LIZ Self-Cleaning Smart Bottle didn’t win a Red Dot Design Award for nothing. It carries several more features. Tap on the cap once for your beverage’s temperature range. If you don’t use the bottle for two hours, it blinks to remind you to stay hydrated, which is an alert we all need. Set up the corresponding app to get personalized recommendations and to set goals and reminders. The days of simple plastic bottles are over. And if you like drinking “smart” water, check out Noerden’s many other intelligent devices.
I will be back soon to unbox more tech, but until then, check out previous videos here.
