Welcome back to Show and Tell, where I unbox sweet tech for every area of your life. In this episode, let’s inspect the IROAD X10 Dash Cam. Have you ever had a fender-bender and wished you had video evidence to back you up? For insurance reasons, some people install black boxes to record speed, but it’s interesting that we invest in cameras for our homes but not our cars. Whether we want to keep an eye on our parked vehicle or keep an eye on ourselves while getting pulled over, a dash camera could greatly improve our lives. If you get a dash camera, it should be reliable and dependable. Let’s see if the IROAD X10 has enough features to keep us safe on the road.

Front and rear-facing camera for full coverage

The IROAD X10 front camera mounts inside the car and faces toward the windshield. This latest 8MP resolution sensor records everything in 4K ultra-high-definition with a 165-degree view. You also can have the rear-facing camera that faces you while you drive. You may want a privacy cover on this sensor until the situation requires it, such as when you get pulled over by a police officer. This device helps protect your word against false claims since it also can record audio. You can access the footage with the companion app, where you can download, watch, or delete the recorded footage.

It’s got your back when you’re not there

This device also offers Extreme Parking Mode Efficiency so you never have to worry about killing your battery while recording while parked. You can record up to 16 hours on the 32GB microSD card and with upgradeable storage, you can use a 256GB card to store a lot more footage. IROAD records a time-lapse at one frame per second (FPS). But if it detects motion, it automatically increases the recording to 10FPS. Another cool feature is that the device saves the “incident footage” in a separate folder so you don’t have to sift through hours of recordings. And don’t worry if you park in a dark area. In parking mode, IROAD increases the brightness by three times and has great night vision capabilities. If you want to optimize your and your car’s protection, a dash cam maybe your best option.
I will be back soon to unbox more tech, but until then, check out previous videos here.
