Shoperr is the new app empowering social media influencers to continue to create authentic content for their followers.
Building a shop front where digital influencers can promote the products they truly love gives influencers more credibility in an age where consumer distrust is at an all-time high.
Shoperr has a fairly simple format. Anyone can create a shop front that promotes their favorite chosen products.
Users get the chance to scroll through and buy the items based on reviews from the influencer, and if they do, the influencer catches a percentage. Each product gets a landing page and endorsements.
While Amazon has a similar program, not everyone is eligible to become an Amazon Affiliate. Shoperr allows anyone to set up a store in just a few minutes and begin promoting items to earn commissions. The point is to create a platform that’s a little more unbiased than the usual. At a time when people are more aware of social media and marketing scams, Shoperr is putting a little more of that good-faith back into influencer based advertising.
The idea is the brainchild of former marketer turned entrepreneur, Aviram Kadosh, who remains the CEO and co-founder of Shoperr.com.
According to Branderly.com, “he has gained significant experience in the online marketing arena, product management and administrative management and spends part of his time as a marketing consultant for several startups in various stages and fields.”
The original thought was to have a place where regular individuals can find and buy the products mentioned by influencers in their videos and pictures.
Authenticity remains the most important part of influencer advertising. The reason that this has taken off in the last 10 years is that humans trust other humans rather than advertisements, emails, and mailings. But some are wary as well.
Between your everyday marketing scams (websites that promise stuff and don’t deliver but pay for Facebook ads), and your really big scams (Fyre Festival ring a bell?), individuals are no longer as sure of their favorite influencers as they used to be.
Companies are ramping up their efforts, handing out plenty of free products, trips, and commissions to each influencer. While most will be straightforward when they advertise on behalf of a company, you can’t really be sure. This is where Shoperr comes in. The app allows influencers to broaden their horizons and rate products honestly.
“Shoperr helps creators, influencers, and publishers implement an easy-to-use strategy to monetize their assets and in a revolutionary way allows anyone without any prior knowledge and experience to recommend products and even create their own online shop in a few clicks,” Kadosh explained in a Branderly interview.
Of course, social media brands have their own answers. Instagram just launched a shopping feature that allows users to check out right through the app, making sure that Instagram influencers can stay on top when it comes to selling products.
On the other hand, Shoperr can really bring some piece of mind for those that aren’t so sure about social media anymore. It’s one way to stop from falling for over-hyped products.
