It’s not the most exciting week at Netflix. Very few classics or beloved originals are hitting the streaming service this week, with one notable exception. There’s the fourth season of The Crown, which is one of the most expensive television shows of all time. It’s about the Royal Family. The series covers different chapters of their lives. It’s remained a critical darling throughout its run, and now it’s back for a fourth season.
Less acclaimed but more popular is American Horror Story. The newest season of the FX show that never dies is available to stream this week. The ninth season is set in the ‘80s. According to longtime American Horror Story fans, the latest season is one of the inconsistent show’s better seasons.
As far as movies go, there’s not a whole lot new to choose from this week. There are only two familiar movies coming out worth revisiting, Ryan Coogler’s Fruitvale Station and V for Vendetta. Both are impactful. Those two titles are joining an array of great new titles, including Ocean’s 11, Easy A, and Platoon. While not new this week, Chappelle Show is available to stream on Netflix. It’s without question one of the best titles to watch on Netflix at the moment. Dave Chappelle recently hosted one of the better, funnier, and more meaningful episodes of Saturday Night Live this weekend, which is now available on Hulu.
