Coined the “festival and global business summit of music and tech industry insiders and innovators, emerging artists and their fan” Mondo.NYC will return for it’s fourth year at the historic Williamsburg Hotel. Compared to most music conferences and festivals, Mondo.NYC is the first music festival and conference that focuses on the intersection of emerging music discovery, blockchain and other frontier technologies, and how these new applications and economies will significantly impact both music and tech industries.
Mondo.NYC founders Bobby Haber and Joanne Abbot Green, have pulled together a wide-ranging offering of panels and speakers, including a keynote Q&A with National Music Publishers’ Association CEO David Israelite, a Music & Politics Conversation with Reverend Al Sharpton, and fireside chat with City Winery CEO Michael Dorf. Harvard Recording Artists Project, a student practice organization at Harvard Law School returns to Mondo.NYC to offer pro-bono sessions for independent musicians under the supervision of attorneys.
Rolling Stone goes deep
For the first time at Mondo.NYC, Rolling Stone will present an exclusive music business content track that will include multiple panels as part of its “Business of Music” series with a deep dive into critical issues including Charts in the Streaming Era; When Is a Song a Lawsuit? and How TikTok Took Over Music. It wouldn’t be a proper conference without an artist showcase and Mondo.NYC holds no punches in their lineup. Attendees will also have the opportunity to see over over 100 breakthrough artists from around the world, across the USA and Brooklyn’s best, at iconic NYC venues including Arlene’s Grocery, Berlin, Bowery Electric, Brooklyn Bowl, The Delancey, DROM, Knitting Factory, Pianos, and United Palace.
