Kid Rock Takes to Social Media After Dishing Out Some Serious Shade Against Oprah Winfrey at His Nashville Bar

Published on November 30, 2019

On Friday, TMZ posted a video, which of course went viral, of rock music artist Kid Rock, standing on stage at his bar, “Big Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse” in Nashville, lashing out at Oprah Winfrey. Now, the 48-year-old rock musician has broken his silence, taking to Twitter and Facebook.

Stage name, Kid Rock—real name, Robert James Ritchie, followed up to his drunken rant with a tweet that explained to the world that The Oprah Winfrey Show had allegedly wanted Ritchie on their show for years, but in order to do so, wanted him to write down the reasons he supported it.

My people tried to get me to do The Oprah Winfrey show years ago and her people wanted me to write down 5 reasons why I loved her and her show… I said fuck that and her. End of story.”

Rock’s Facebook post seemed to go more in-depth, addressing any potential online trolls, haters, or any other “ignorant asses” who may comment on Ritchie’s crude comments:

Rock, 48, was heard yelling into his microphone— “Fuck Oprah. Oprah Winfrey is, like, ‘Hey, I just want women to believe in this shit.’ Fuck her. She can suck dick sideways.”

In his “musical” rant, he then added— “And if you say that, people say, ‘Hey, I’m pretty sure Kid Rock’s a racist.’ I’m like, ‘Okay, fine’. Fuck off’.”

Undoubtedly, the musician’s comments weren’t well-received by the crowd, and unfortunately, this wasn’t the first time the rock musician has spoken out on his feelings towards Winfrey.

Let’s go back to 2008, where Rock, a die-hard supporter of now-President Trump, where he told one newspaper that Winfrey “rubbed him the wrong way” and that he “just doesn’t believe her.”

It will be interesting to see how Winfrey, if at all, responds back to Rock’s social media posts. Rock and Roll or not, this probably wasn’t the best way to give a PSA Ritchie.
