Last week, award-winning filmmaker and author, David Raynor launched the new web application, SPSCloud. SPSCloud is a new app for screenwriters and filmmakers that help simplify the process for writing scripts.

SPSCloud allows users to write scripts easily instead of manually formatting the layout. Inside the app, users are allowed to easily add characters, scenes, elements, scene headings, and more. Users are also able to export and share scripts immediately to the source. Raynor says that he developed the app after he saw the need for it in the film industry, especially for his work. He claims that there is no other screenwriting tool that tops SPS.

“When speaking to a university lecturer recently, he mentioned that there is a push at the moment for screenwriters to add more detail into the action sequences, more like descriptions in a book,” says Raynor. “I didn’t know this at the time when I was designing the app, but this is what my app is able to do,” he says.

Raynor also wants the app to showcase a calming influence, manifesting inner creativity for screenwriters and filmmakers. Another interesting aspect of the program is that users can create custom profiles for each character they interact with. Writing stories has now upgraded onto another level.

SPSCloud Testimonies

If you’re a screenwriter and are still trying to convince yourself to start using SPS, here are some testimonies from fellow filmmakers that now frequently use the web app.

Storyan founder, Christopher Kühne says that SPS helps save screenwriters time when writing and formatting stories.

“Breaking down a script can take a significant amount of time, but SPSCloud allows you to speed up the process and save time since the very writing of the script itself,” says Raynor. “Not only writers will find it easier to put their stories and their elements down on the page, but producers, line producers, directors, and heads of department alike will wish they had an app like SPSCloud before,” he says.

Sue Victory from Heartland Films Inc shares how brilliant and much-needed SPS is for herself and her colleagues.

“A brilliant, affordable and much-needed app for screenwriters around the world,” says Victory. “While easy and versatile to use SPSCloud, this digital platform will easily become an industry standard. For writers of all levels of expertise, it’s a must-have. I’m going to recommend it for my vast networks in the film industry,” she says.

With her busy schedule, sometimes it’s hard to find time to sit down and write. Writer and filmmaker, Tracy Vicory-Rosenquest also agrees that SPS is incredibly user friendly, allowing her to work anywhere and on any device.

“Instead of spending countless hours trying to correctly format my screenplay, SPS makes it easy to get my story down on the page quickly,” says Victory-Rosenquest. “It’s now so simple to share my work with my colleagues using SPS. I can get their feedback and notes without any hassle,” she says.

SPSCloud is offering a 14-day free trial period, allowing subscribers to take in and experience the app’s numerous features. After the trial period, the cost is $59.88 or $4.99/month. SPS will also be available soon via mobile and in other languages.
