The first day of summer is just around the corner.
Several female celebrities marked the occasion with beach styles that incorporate the season’s hottest swimming fashions. Gwyneth Paltrow and Emily Ratajkowski recently introduced the world to their own 2019 swim lines. Others, like Kylie Jenner, Carrie Underwood, and Jessica Simpson, turned their creative talents toward designing affordable swimsuits.
Each celebrity’s seasonal offering is appropriately styled for their ages and public images. Thereby making it easier for their fans to adopt the same look.
Label swim’s classic appearance
Gwyneth Paltrow’s brand new Goop line, G. Label Swim, incorporates a classic beach style with options for every woman’s personal comfort level. Even more, each suit comes in black and features Italian-made, stretch-jersey fabric. Choices range from the skimpy V Bikini Top ($170) and Low-Rise Bikini Briefs ($150) to the timeless One-Shoulder Belted One-Piece ($300).
The female-led G. Label Swim doesn’t stop with pieces designed for sunbathing and swimming. Instead, Paltrow also provides cover-up dresses to help each shopper maintain modesty while traveling to and from the beach. Remaining consistent with the entire Goop brand, each G. Label Swim piece will only be available for a limited time.
Inamorata’s barely-there beachwear
Emily Ratajkowski joined the movement of celebrity-created beach styles by adding a new line to her Inamorata Woman line. Much like Paltrow, Ratajkowski looked back to the ‘90s for some of her inspiration. Not content to stop there, the model and actress flashed all the way back to Ancient Egyptian fashions with her spin on the loincloth. More commonly associated with Tarzan, the loincloth is now referred to as ‘tanga bottoms’ when worn by women.
Dubbed Las Olas by Inamorata, the barely-there Bottom ($75) and Top ($75) pieces come in a wide variety of colors and sizes. At $150 for a complete Las Olas set, Ratajkowski fans can emulate one of their favorite celebrity beach styles for much less than any of Paltrow’s offerings. Of course, the Inamorata line requires a lot less fabric and a much more daring personality to pull off.
The Kylie Shop’s Swimwear
Reality TV star Kylie Jenner dove into the swimwear business pool by adding a swim line to the Kylie Shop. Additionally, the four styles available include a Ribbed Bikini Set ($60), One Piece ($50), Thick!!!! Bikini ($80), and Lips Bikini ($80).
Designed with Jenner’s attitude in mind, the One Piece swimsuits come emblazoned with sayings like “Unfollow Me,” “No Photos Please,” and an uncensored version of “Chill B**ch.” The moderate price points make these beach fashions affordable. Even better, the entire Jenner swim line is currently on sale for up to half off the prices listed above.
Calia’s options for plus-sized women
Country singer Carrie Underwood’s Calia label includes a diverse selection of clothing options for women of all sizes. Her 2019 athletic swimwear and swimsuits line offers 64 pieces, with 11 items designed specifically for plus-sized consumers. The models promoting swimwear like the CALIA Women’s Plus Size Wide Banded Bikini Bottoms ($35) display Underwood’s line with confidence, which makes each item look trendy and desirable.
Following in Jenner’s footsteps, Underwood set price points that make her Calia swimsuits accessible to fans without a celebrity budget. That vast majority of pieces in Calia’s line sells for under $50.
Jessica Simpson Retail Swimwear
Many of the celebrities featured here provide beach styles that are only available from their own branded websites. Jessica Simpson stands apart from the pack in this regard by partnering with a diverse list of retail sites, including Macy’s. The 2019 Jessica Simpson Swimwear line offers 42 bathing suits and cover-ups, ranging in price from $44 to $108.
Hipster bottoms like the Pretty Peony Side Shirred Hipster ($44) make up a big portion of this year’s line, but women who prefer a high-waisted bottom will also find numerous options. Swimwear pieces come in sizes S to XL.
Female-led celebrity fashions
Female celebrities have embraced beach styles, along with quite a few other fashion choices. For instance, Rihanna’s newly launched Fenty line has garnered a lot of recent attention. The success of these diverse, bold looks makes it clear that many female-led businesses have a very big impact on fashion and culture.
