Web Summit promises a lot of excitement this year, with more than 70,000 attendees set to show up. In addition, there will be over 2,600 exhibiting startups and companies, 1,100 investors, and 1,000 speakers taking part in numerous events held from November 1st to the 4th. But with so many events, deciding how to spend your limited time can be difficult. Grit Daily’s recommendations will help you lock down the perfect Web Summit itinerary.

Day one (November 1st) will be full of fantastic events, including Open Coffee Lisbon and Women Connect at Web Summit. But one you do not want to miss is The Europas, the hottest tech startup awards event around.

For fourteen years, The Europas has been highlighting rising stars in Europe. The event takes place in Factory Lisbon at 7:30 PM and includes an illustrious panel of judges. It will conclude with a rooftop afterparty, making it a great way to wrap up your first day.

Day two (November 2nd) is no less exciting, with a myriad of event options, including a panel on Cultivating Investor Relationships for a Long-term Partnership at 2:50 PM. The panel will feature Harry Nelis of Accel Partners and Ismail Ahmed of WorldRemit, and it will be led by John Biggs of Grit Daily. The focus will be on the founder-investor relationship, with the speakers going over what to look for in a VC beyond money and how to build relationships.

John Biggs is also hosting another panel at 3:50 PM featuring CEO Shane Happach of Mollie and Kathryn Petralia, the co-founder of Keep Financial. The topic is How SMEs Power the Global Economy, and it will go into detail about how to create a more equitable future and redress the imbalance in the global fintech space.

Both of the events take place at MoneyConf.

Lastly, you can cap off your day with Grit Daily’s Fifth Annual Speakers and Media Dinner, which will take place at 7:00 PM. The dinner is at a waterfront restaurant and includes a multi-course, sit-down meal. There will be speakers, VIPs, and moderator-media from Web Summit, along with special guest Dr. Abdalla Kablan.

Tickets are limited, so get yours now. Web Summit has already sold out, and the dinner will too.

Make sure you are well-rested for day three (November 3rd) because the fun starts early. At 11:00 AM at Venture, Jordan French, the executive editor at Grit Daily, is hosting a panel titled Turning the Corner: Startup Valuations In 2023. He will talk with Christian Nagel, Sitar Teli, and Stephan Morais about valuations, discussing whether it is a temporary setback or the start of a new era of VC caution.

Shortly after at 11:50 AM, Grit Daily’s Stewart Rogers will dive into How Blockchain Can Create An Inclusive Society with Marieke Flament and Lacy Hunter. Speakers will share examples of why the technology offers a unique promise to forge a better society.

Jordan French is also overseeing Taking the Pledge: How Founders Can Put ESG Front and Center. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) have become increasingly prominent, and speakers Amy Lesnick and David Cohen will examine how founders can put their money where their mouth is as far as ESG is concerned.

Day three also offers unique events like Entrepreneurs Meetup + Drinks and Women in Tech Targeted Drinks that are perfect ways to wind down and get the most out of the week.

As things wind down on day four (November 4th), you will still find plenty of excitement, which includes The Bug House 2022, a party for the Web3 community at 7:30 PM. Register in advance for this exclusive crypto party for blockchain industry leaders.

You do not want to miss out on any of these exciting Web Summit events, so add them to your itinerary early and plan ahead!
