NYC-based brand Glossier & the WNBA have partnered up to showcase the brand’s new body line.
Pink, sumptuous, and packaged pretty, Glossier’s Body Hero Line is made with high-caliber ingredients that leave you moisturized.
But, what customers like best is the conversation accompanying this line – Glossier has teamed up with some key stars from the WNBA like Sue Bird, Seimone Augustus, Lexie Brown, & others, along with a host of other celebrities participating in a nude campaign celebrating all types of bodies.
According to Glamour, “The campaign features gorgeous women with professions and body types across the spectrum. The models: basketball player and Olympic Gold medalist Swin Cash Canal, influencer and clinical research coordinator Mekdes Mersha, Outdoor Voices founder Tyler Haney, creative director Lara Pia Arrobio, and model-slash-It-girl Paloma Elsesser.”
This is also Glossier’s first full-body care line. Debuting with an oil body wash ($18) back in September, the brand just added an exfoliating soap bar ($14), Dry-Touch Oil Mist ($28), Perfecting Cream Body Lotion ($22), and a hand cream ($18). Products are available to buy now.
To celebrate, Glossier is featuring their new product models/sports superstars on their Instagram:
Sue Bird, Seimone Augustus, Lexie Brown, Kalani Brown, Amanda Zahui B., Natalie Achonwa, Stefanie Dolson, and Gabby Williams shot a “Get Ready with Me” promo, where they championed Glossier’s body care tagline, “You Deserve This.”
Both videos have an overall positive message, featuring WNBA athletes of all colors and sizes.
Narrated by several of the athletes, the video sends a message: “We aren’t necessarily the standard of beauty. My whole life, I’ve been taller than everyone, bigger than everyone. I just tell myself I deserve this. You deserve this. You deserve this. You deserve this. Because I do. But if I can embrace my body and tell you I’m beautiful, then that means that I’m a body hero. You’re a body hero.”
