“Where we come from, ‘Cheer’ is not a word we hear very often. They should call us, ‘inspiration-leaders’ instead.” These are the iconic words from the 2000 cheerleading film, “Bring It On.” Whether we are talking about spirit fingers, ice-ice-baby, or the mighty torous, “Bring It On” is still a very culturally relevant film that our generation seriously needs to get on the bandwagon for, and Gabrielle Union still has spirit.
Directed by Peyton Reed, the film starred Kirsten Dunst, Eliza Dushku, Jesse Bradford, and Gabrielle Union. The film basically taught us the ins and outs of “cheerocracy” and how preppy and peppy you have to be to get people on their feet.
“Awesome, Oh wow
Like totally freak me out
I mean right on
The torous sure are number 1“
Gabrielle Union, known for her role in the 2000 cheerleading movie Bring It On is still bringing it just in time for Halloween. Union is also a judge on America’s Got Talent and married to NBA star, Dwayne Wade, who welcomes their one-month old daughter Kaavia via surrogate on November 7, 2018.
On Sunday, the actress shared a series of photos her herself and her daughter Kaavia James, who turns 1 next month, wearing matching green Clovers cheerleading uniforms, complete with the gold bows and white sneakers–all inspired by the film.
